The uncle of one of the MP's sent the photos to Hackworth, whether he wants to admit it or not. He was quoted in the New York Times, and I see no reason for that to be inaccurate...they were trying to portray the uncle as a sympathetic figure.

Somebody needs to pull all the FR threads together on one post. I think in a week or two the left will be sorry they directed people to this site. The Berg family is beginning to look like old-line leftists who were betrayed by their supposed friends in Iraq.

I am at a loss to find enough tinfoil to cover all the coincidental connections to Soros sponsored left-wing radio projects in Africa and South America, Oklahoma City, 911, and Iraq.

- I tend to agree with your thinking on this. Although the word was quickly put out that Berg was a Bush supporter and disagreed with his father, it was I believe, just his cover to divert suspicion that his true role in Iraq was to be an ANSWER liason to Al Quada and to give them any support, financial or otherwise, that he could arrange. His questioning by the FBI in Iraq must have been because they had run into him before in the U.S. and were suspicious that he had turned up again. I think he had made contact with his killers, trusted them, and didn't realize that being an American Jew in their eyes far outweighed any ANSWER support he could arrange. Just a naive guy playing James Bond who didn't realize the true depth of hatred and viciousness of the gang he had cozied up to.

his parents did not receive much cooperation from OUR Federal Government when trying to learn his whereabouts, which is very disturbing. He had reportedly booked a March 30 flight back to New York, but missed it because he had been detained by our military. Today's "spin" on the story is that they told him to get out, but I'm not buying that.

Michael is in ANSWER and this guy Mark Humphrey doesn't trust "OUR" government. How many other lefty jobs has he done?

Speaking of pulling something together:
Has any one, any where, been able to find WHO Berg was doing all this telecommunications work for?
I've seen it repeated that he was not part of any of the large construction firms that are working for our side. I've seen emails in which he discusses contacts with the locals. I've seen reports of him actually doing work (maybe) and travelling all over the country without apparent escort. And, I've seen references to thousands of dollars a day paid for his work.....
So who was paying him???

I'm not sure to whom you're referring to, but I want to know who leaked those photos. We don't need a fifth column in the military.

These days, trust no one. I'm on the phone(he has another call on the line at the moment)with my friend, and we were talking about the DC sniper, the lawyer whose fingerprint was found on the bag in Spain, among others. I guess we have to pay a little more attention to our neighbors these days.

FOX now - friend/neighbor Bruce Hauser says Nick and Moussaoui met on bus. I don't know that Hauser has the story right since dates don't match.

Apparently the FBI was curious about that also. My guess, along with a that of a lot of others here, is that he was working for anti-warAmerican group(s) and was killed because he attracted the attention of the FBI. He was killed because he would eventually lead the FBI to some really bad people. He didn't resist because he thought he was among friends, and they betrayed him.

It's been pointed out to me that the timeline is very tight regarding Nick's presence in the area, and when the photos were leaked. Nothing is impossible. Maybe someone else took the pics and passed them on to him? Hackworth is a sphinx these days.

With this story it's hard to keep anything straight. Everyone needs to be careful of people who will try and deliberately muddy the waters.

This whole thing has too darn many coincidences.

I understand the various & sundry possibilities we've been kicking around - but I still don't know who Berg was contracting his services out to.
It is quite possible that your scenario is real; but we are apparently still totally in the dark as to his contacts and his seemingly successful search for non-sanctioned work, in a war zone populated by people he could not talk with; people who don't like strangers, and who really don't like Jewish strangers.

Anyone who can find a link to whomever Berg was doing work for will earn my paranoia driven thanks and respect.
