I'm sure he was great at what did. All the more to
make me wonder. You would think our government and
military would welcome his skills. They didn't offer
other contractors there a plane ride home that I know
of.
I wonder if maybe he took those pictures home he talked
about in his emails, say sometime before they got on
the news.
At this time, there is just too much out there re this mess to make any good calls. The valid call at this time is "This is a big mess politically and Berg wise!"
As usual, even when there is good reporting, the reporters and their editors never put all of the dots out on a time line and then connect them.
We have connected the dots in the past on Free Republic re al Fuqra in California and across the nation, the Islamoterrorists working out of Portland and of course debunking the white guys driving a white van in the DC Area sniper situation.
The safe thing to say is now, "We haven't been told the full story on this tragedy and the Berg family's involvement up to this time.
This story like the latest Portland Islamolover being exposed will evolve over the next few days, weeks and even month.
Then the dots can be connected as usual by Free Republic Freepers with just vague referrals by the media to the connected dots.

We don't know the time era, he was referring to.
People in America have forgotten that prison was where a lot of people who said the wrong thing about the $oddomite received more than fraternity hazing before the regime change.
As a doubter, I would like to know if he made friends with any of our MP guards at the prison, and did he make a tour with some of them with a camera.
This story is really strange and a dad who would use his son's brutal death to try and push his political agenda is beyond despicable.
Yeah, Nick knew his stuff from what I've been reading. What a damn shame. Extremely intelligent, idealistic, apparently a nice guy to be around, and he ends up like this.
If he had focused on his profession, instead of following along with the radical left, who knows what kind of contributions he could have made in his field.
IIRC the Investigation into the abuse was launched in January (although reports of abuse had been around a bit earlier). Also, IIRC, Berg went to Iraq the first time Dec/Jan - through March.
If Dec - possible, otherwise, I doubt it. The individuals involved would not continue with this while under investigation.
Even the dec timeframe is a bit iffy.

I'm wondering about these pics myself, although it sounds too far fetched. Notice how he said that he took pics everywhere he was allowed to. Somebody took them, and then leaked them to deliberately damage the credibility of President Bush and Donald Rumsfeld. Now who would want to do that?
Because he didn't study engineering there!
His Dad, has the same mental illness defect, that those family members of people murdered on 9/11, who tried to blame GW for 9/11 and the death of their loved ones.
In both cases, vicious Islamofascist murders, brutally killed their family members. Then, their mentall defect gene blames GW.

Not having waded through 1100 posts, I'll apologize in advance if this has already been covered. People have suggested he might have been with the enemy. Thinking about this some more, I just can't believe it. What if he was acting as (what he believed in) a super patriot for the state of Israel and her partner, the USA? A Boerne Identity if you will? Perhaps he made himself available to be snatched. And then confessed to something he may have had no part in to infuriate the enemy to the point of executing him. Or the unthinkable which I won't even spell out here. Coming so closely on the heels of the "earth shaking" incident at Al Ghraib... I'll stop there.
