Dem Touts Abu Ghraib as Political 'Silver Bullet' (They are making fools of themselves!)

Democrats on Capitol Hill are saying privately that the Abu Ghraib prison abuse scandal is the "silver bullet" they need to bring about President Bush's political demise this November, according to Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla.
"I heard someone - and I would not be in a position to say who it was - but a Democrat staffer saying, 'Ah hah, this is the silver bullet we've been waiting for,'" Inhofe told radio host Sean Hannity on Tuesday.
The Oklahoma Republican noted that the comment dovetails with recent fundraising efforts by Sen. John Kerry, whose campaign now invokes U.S. abuse of Iraqi terror suspects in email solicitations.
Inhofe turned Senate hearings into the prison scandal on their head on Tuesday by complaining that outrage over U.S. mistreatment of Iraqi prisoners was overblown.
"We have so many people out there that are so concerned about the human rights of a bunch of people who are murderers and terrorists that I find it offensive," he told Hannity.

This would explain the utter silence about Nick Berg.

We all need to get outraged at this and tell everyone we know - otherwise, it might work. The Dims have chosen sides and they are on the side of the terrorists.

Its absolutely scandalous that they gloat and cheer over every hit America takes - so long as it hurts their political opponents. With every statement like this they announce to the world "we could care less about prison abuse - our real goal is to hurt America, and thereby George Bush". And they call Bush a nazi.

INTREP - SHAMEFUL!

If Kerry wins this November, I wonder who the Left is going to get to fight World War III for them? I would advise anybody in the military to collect their final paychecks, and muster out.
There's no sense risking your life for an ungrateful bunch of seditious back-stabbers.

I know he made his position clear in the hearing yesterday. . .but do wish he had repeated that particular comment, so that it could be a part of the record.
But kudos nonetheless, for all his efforts in challenging the reason-impaired Liberals.

and as we've observed of most Democrats in the last few years:
Nothing matters to them except their own political power; not the country's good or national interest, not traditional values or anything decent.
In this most recent case it not only show how the terrorists 'have no limits' but also the democrats is in the same league as well.

"We have so many people out there that are so concerned about the human rights of a bunch of people who are murderers and terrorists that I find it offensive," I still think Inhofe is going to far. By all means decry the political opportunism, but please don't try to justify the prison abuse. I think it is stupid and wrong to say that some humans are not entitled to human rights.

True to form, the democrats are once again the dumbest stumps to ever sprout. The Holy Polls show the public, a overwhelming majority of 70%, said "So What?" to the "prison abuse scandal".
I was very amused, even here on FR, about how every comment about the prison had to have the phony "outraged" attached. It was like there is a law that says THIS TIME we must show the proper political correctness.
I said I don't care and I meant it. Now I'm really glad I did.

"This would explain the utter silence about Nick Berg."
I had been wondering what the Berg family might eventually think of these Democrats and their posturing re their son's death; when I heard that they would not make any more statements to the Press because they are angry at our Government for the way they are handling this.(between the lines;an anti Bush sentiment)
I was surprised. . .No doubt in my mind that these folks are Democrats and that they do not have a clue as to who their real enemy is, here at home.
Can only wonder what they might think if they heard the Democrat's 'silver bullet theory'.

Some of our soldiers got carried away with their handling of prisoners, and the military has been doing it's investigation in a proper way. Broadcasting those photos just because they are going to come out anyway is just plain stupid. When do people start considering the harm that they will do to America by their actions, as though scooping Al Jazeera is a moral duty. As they stand in the rubble of their society, will they say, "Damn good reporting."? Ted Kennedy, CBS and the democrats better take a good long look at Nick Berg, and consider their actions the fuel that inspired his murder. Things are bad in Iraq because democrats have encouraged terrorists that they can win.

If standing up for moral decency as our president has done is the definition of a wimp, then I am a wimp and so is President Bush. I reject the political opportunism of the Democrats, but I also reject the sexual abuse of prisoners of any sort.

I also reject the sexual abuse of prisoners of any sort.Hear, hear! We should adopt methods that won't offend Muslims. Beheading, for instance.

No, we should have our own standards of due process regardless of what the terrorists do.

The terrorist prisoners are human beings as well as being vile criminals.
