Many of the mosques are built with Saudi government money --- any that are should be torn down and their clerics sent home. It's estimated that 80% of the mosques in this country are Saudi government property.

I don't know. Even (some) Nazi war criminals got a trial -- of course, the war was over by then. I read accounts of the murder of Mr. Berg and for a while I found myself imagining what I would like to do to make the murderers die a slow and painful death. I eventually got disgusted with myself. Now I am thinking that I hope I could dispassionately put a bullet in each of their heads, like I was shooting a rattlesnake. I don't know if that is a good or a bad thing.

I don't justify what happened at Abu Ghraib, though I want to see more proof of the more serious allegations(rape with an object, molestation, beatings) I'm just saying the killing has little to do with the prison abuse.
Remember the Italian they executed?

Honestly, I have no feelings for the perps here at all. None. When I first learned of the murder, I felt horror, empathizing what it must have been like for Berg. I continue to deep sorrow for his family, whose suffering will go on for a long time.
I feel no more anger at the perps than I would at a rabid dog, or a cancerous tumor, honestly. My [non-Middle Eastern] religious training has taught me that feeling anger actually gives the perp something -- it gives them power and a sense of purpose where they previously had none. Besides, I'm sure that these individuals are cr*ming thier nightshirts at all of the anger they have caused. They enjoy that. That's all they have. Deprive them of it, they don't deserve anything from any of us.
Imagine what importance that the perps would have if they hadn't done this. They still have no importance. They're pitiful, really. [Pity is NOT sympathy]
It's not so difficult, really. They are malignant nothings who need to be removed from this planet by someone who would have no more feelings for them than they would for a mosquito. They need to be gone. Simple.
A trial would only be useful if there was a possibility that something could be learned from it. Nothing positive can be gained from a trial. The only stipulation I would recommend is to make doubly sure that we get the right people involved.

I decided to look at the photos.
My word. Just beyond all horror imaginable.
And I do not react to stuff much normally...even Sept. 11 left me more stunned than horrified even hearing all sorts of awful stories.
But that...my word. If I watch the video I am afraid the screams will never leave my mind.

You don't understand the Islamic "faith", FRiend.
It is a CULT, not a religion, and I don't say that lightly.
What we are seeing in this beheading are it's most devoted followers, doing exactly what is preached in mosques all over the Muslim world.
The "prophet" Mohammed was actually a pirate who murdered over seven hundred people, and he took a seven year old girl for his "wife".
There is a reason women are treated like cattle in this "religion".
I challenge you to get over your PC correctness, and read a little about this. BTW, it is a death sentence in the Islamic faith to have any picture portraying Mohammed.

We are in a life and death struggle between good and evil.
This piece says it best:
'Up against fanaticism'
http://www.newsherald.com/viewpoint/phillucas/040404.shtml By Phil Lucas
Executive Editor
"If straight talk of savagery offends you, if you believe in ethnic and gender diversity but not diversity of thought or if you think there is an acceptable gray area between good and evil, then turn to the funny pages, and take the children, too.
This piece is not for you.
We published pictures Thursday of burnt American corpses hanging from an Iraqi bridge behind a mob of grinning Muslims.
Some readers didnt like it.
Mothers said it frightened their children. A woman who works with Muslim physicians thought it might offend or endanger them.
Well, we sure dont want to frighten, offend or endanger anybody, do we? Thats just too much diversity to handle. I mean, somebody might get hurt.
We could fill the newspaper every morning with mobs of fanatical Muslims. They cant get along with their neighbors on much of the planet: France, Chechnya, Bosnia, Indonesia, Spain, Morocco, India, Tunisia, Somalia, etc. etc. etc. Can anybody name three ongoing world conflicts in which Muslims are not involved? Today, where there is war, there are fanatical Muslims. We might quibble about who started what conflicts, but look at the sheer number of them.
One thing is sure. Muslim killers started the one we are in now when they slaughtered more than 3,000 people, including fellow Muslims, in New York City.
Madeline Albright, the former secretary of state and feckless appeaser who helped get us into this mess, said last week Muslims still resented the Crusades. Well, Madame Albright, if Westerners were not such a forgiving people, we might resent them too.
Lets recap the Crusades. Muslims invaded Europe and when they reached sufficient numbers they imposed their intolerant religion upon Westerners by force. Christian monarchs drove them back and took the battle to their homeland. The fight lasted a couple of centuries, and we bottled them up for 1,000 years.
Now, a millennium later, Muslims have expanded forth again. Ask France. Ask England. Ask Manhattan. Two-and-a-half years ago fanatical Muslims laid siege to us. We woke up to the obvious. Our president announced it would be a very long war, then took the battle to the Islamic homeland. Sound familiar?
Lets consider the concept of a long war. Last time it was 200 years, give or take.
Anybody catch Lord of the Rings? You know, the good part, the part that wasnt fiction, the part that drew us to the books and movies because it was the truest part: the titanic struggle between good and evil, between freedom and enslavement, between the individual and the state, between the celebration of life and the worshipping of death.
Thats the fight we are in, and it never ends. It just has peaks and valleys.
There may be a silent majority of peaceful Muslims some live here but that did not save 3,000 people in the World Trade Centers, the millions gassed and butchered in the Middle East, the tens of thousands slain in Eastern Europe and Asia, the hundreds blown to bits in the West Bank and Spain, or the four Americans shot, burned and hung like sausage over the Euphrates as a fanatical minority of Muslims did the joyful dance of death.
Maybe we are so tolerant, we are so bent on diversity, we are so nonjudgmental, we are so wrapped up in our six-packs and ballgames that our brains have drained to our bulbous behinds. Maybe were so addled on Ritalin we wouldnt know which end of a gun to hold. Maybe we need a new drug advertised on TV every three minutes, one that would help us grow a backbone.
It doesnt take a Darwin to figure out that in this world the smartest, the fastest, the strongest, and the most committed always win. No exceptions.
Look at your spouse and children. Look at yourself in the mirror. Then look at the pictures from the paper last Thursday. You better look at them. Those are the people out to kill you.
Who do you think will win? You? Or them? Think you can take your ball and go home and they will leave you alone? Read a little history. Start with last week, last month, last year, and every other year back for half a century. Then go back a thousand years. Nobody hides from this fight.
Like it or not, thats the way it was and thats the way it is.
But many Americans dont get it.
Thats why we published those pictures.
If they jarred you off the sofa, if they offended you, if they scared your children and sent you into a rage at mass murderers or heartless editors, then I say, its a start."

agree...join us at PABAAH.com to protest CBS for all of its anti-American behavior and remove them from your TV remote. Andy Rooney's anti-Christian comments, the Super Bowl fiasco, the Reagan's film...CBS deserves to be boycotted. They have helped to fuel the anti-American fires around the world. Whose side are they on?

I can imagine the absolute outrage burning in the pits of 'Rat stomachs. Just when they had a slam-dunk triviality to posture and wring their hands about, Al-Qaeda completely ignores the DNC talking points and cuts them off at the knees with the same bloody sword.
I think we all would do well to send these idiot clowns at the hearing to confirm how stupid and traitorous they all now look, as they whine over the "atrocities" that brutal murderers like the Berg executioners experienced marching around wearing panties, like 'Rat congressmen.
To: walford
I understand your use of the word pitiful -- pitiful in the sense that there is something malignant there instead of a human being and this malignant thing has to be eliminated. On a few occasions, I have read interviews with serial killers before they were executed. It struck me how soul-less these creatures are. They have the appearance of a human being, but on further inquiry, there is nothing there. The same could be said for Berg's killers -- it's the same type of creature.
I thought that perhaps a trial would show the civilized world just what these creatures are (forget about what the uncivilized world thinks) -- there are a lot of people who think of themselves as decent who still are in denial as to what is going on. Then this morning I hear that a lot of papers around the world have headlines saying that the U.S. drove these poor war criminals to murder Mr. Berg. They still don't get it and probably won't until some jihadists blow up a nuclear device in their countries.

I remember some beheadings of innocent people not long ago in Indonesia. I'm sure people in the Sudan and Nigeria also know about decapitations --- it's a favorite muslim technique to instill fear in those they plan to takeover.
Back when I was in college, some Nigerian students were telling me that the USA was crazy to allow muslims to come to the USA for any reason, there were awful things being done to their own country. I've never heard anything good about Arabs by people who live closer to them.

It is the lying, commie liberals who need to have this horrific murder on the giant screen in front of their faces daily! You would likely have to resort to this method:
