LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The Bush administration said Tuesday the people who beheaded American hostage Nick Berg in Iraq are enemies of freedom who will be hunted down and brought to justice.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with his family," White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan said of Berg.

"It shows the true nature of the enemies of freedom. They have no regard for the lives of innocent men, women and children. We will pursue those who are responsible and bring them to justice."

I disagree, I don't think shock and awe means a hill of beans to people who are salivating at the prospect of death. We can bomb them to rubble and I still don't think it will stop them. As I said in post 76, this is going to take street to street, but it's going to take street to street done right, which is no quarter and not a lot of concern about who happens to get in the way.

Bush is going to lose this election if he remains this soft. I really do believe he is getting terrible advice from somebody. At what point does he say, to hell with getting re-elected. Calm down. There is no other way to go about this, the only way we can get these guys is if some Iraqi tips us as to their location. Otherwise, we will never find them.
