Islamic Web site claims revenge killing Video shows beheading of man identified as AmericanBREAKING NEWS The Associated Press Updated: 1:28 p.m. ET May 11, 2004CAIRO, Egypt - A video posted Tuesday on an Islamic militant Web site showed a group affiliated with al-Qaida beheading an American civilian in Iraq, saying the death was revenge for the abuse of Iraqi prisoners by American soldiers.

The video showed five men wearing headscarves and black ski masks, standing over a bound man in an orange jumpsuit — similar to a prisoner’s uniform — who identified himself as Nick Berg, a U.S. contractor whose body was found on a highway overpass in Baghdad on Saturday.

“My name is Nick Berg, my father’s name is Michael, my mother’s name is Susan,” the man said on the video. “I have a brother and sister, David and Sarah. I live in ... Philadelphia.”

After reading a statement, the men were seen pulling the man to his side and putting a large knife to his neck. A scream sounded as the men cut his head off, shouting “Allahu Akbar!” — “God is great.” They then held the head out before the camera.

Berg was a small-business owner from the Philadelphia suburbs, his family said Tuesday.

Bad move on part of terrorists. They had Americans depressed and on the defensive, Media, Democrats and Europeans feeling superior and emboldened.

I am feeling true anger and rage right now. I am a Catholic mother of two who would like nothing better right now than to nuke the entire middle east. If I am feeling this way others must too.

indeed this guy probably did have his neck sawed off, a favorite techinque of jihadis worldwide... have you ever seen the video of the Russian soldier whose head was cut off by Chechen fighters? They used what must have been the dullest knife in existance, it took a full minute to cut him from ear to ear and the gurgling noises were pretty gross.

I say that ANY politician that has gone overboard on the NAKED prisoners story and doesn't CONDEMN this should have their HEAD BLOTTED OUT or they should be filmed only from the NECK down whenever they speak on TV.
