I respect the sentiment, but in the Old Testament, God took no crap off of evil. He turned his full wrath against it. Using brutal force in retaliation against evil isn't evil itself. It's just desserts. If heaven itself can bring terrible destruction to bear against the purveyors of evil, I don't know why we can't as well, acting in the name of moral good and freedom, not to mention the defense of our country's very structure.

Well said. But can we presume to act in God's stead? That is the particular that vexes me. Does God exercise His wrath personally, or through our hands? 'Gott Mit Uns' comes to mind. And factor in the New Testament.

Please, let me be clear here. I would personally like to administer the only sort of message that these people understand. CBS to Air Soldier Video Diary on Prison

A video that shows a young American soldier saying "who cares?" about Iraqi prisoners who died will air on "60 Minutes II.


The CBS newsmagazine (8 p.m. EDT Wednesday) obtained the video diary of a soldier, whose name was withheld, talking about conditions at Camp Bucca and Abu Ghraib in Iraq (news - web sites), where Iraqi prisoners were held.


It was "60 Minutes II" that first aired pictures two weeks ago of prisoners allegedly being abused at Abu Ghraib, igniting a political tempest.

Stories are saying this is revenge for the prisoner so called mistreatment. Now this revenge has been taken do you think they will stop? Do you think the press will stop since those who were allegedly wronged have had their revenge?

Are they trying to infer that you can't see what's being done on the video?

Since the body has been recovered, one would think there would be no "apparent" about it.
