Perhaps the Democrats would like to take over Iraq.

I think they already had- some of them were, right along with the UN and France, milking Iraq for campaign money via the Oil For Food Program. They just took their share through a couple of middlemen, like Khafaji, so as to have some deniability. But there were still Iraqis going without food because of all the abuse in the program.

Convenient how that story has been erased from the media consciousness.

Ted Kennedy is far more upset about this "abuse" in the Iraqi prisons. Actually, it's more a contrived anger generated to acheive a political objective. God Bless the Berg family! I hope they find these animals soon! Gut them and let the pigs eat them alive!!

I just wanted to take a moment and thank those of you who described this horrific murder for us. There is no way I could have watched it. My 18 year old daughter was just at my office and asked to see it. I read her a few of the more descriptive posts and was trying to explain how the visual would remain with her for some time. A coworker overheard us, stepped in the office and said "Don't watch it!" He explained how he had seen a beheading while serving in Vietnam and said it still haunts him. With his comment, I rested my case.

God, please help this poor man's family get through this horror.

I just went to the emglish and arabic sites for Al Jazeera and they don't have anything with a link that I can tell to the Berg murder.

His body bore "obvious signs of trauma." I'd say having his head cut off qualifies as obvious trauma. I'd also say that downplaying Arab atrocities while overemphasizing those committed by our prison guards is treasonous.

I am SICK TO DEATH of this media of ours coddling Americans! This is war, they mean to KILL us, and everyone of us could be that body on the overpass.

We're being treated like infants by the govt and the media. Why the HE!! can't this country be told the truth about the islamos?

I appreciate that you don't want to see it. But, I think you must. And your children must. To avoid it is to deny the true horror of what we face. The only way you will be able to understand why truly extreme measures will be necessary against Islamofascists, and, unfortunately, probably all of Islam -- the Arab portions at least -- is to see the horror of what they do so casually and deliberately.

We need, at the very least, to neutron the insurgent controlled portions of Fallujah in retaliation for this. And to use Pershing's method for fighting terrorists: all ammunition should be coated with pork grease or blood, and all terrorists killed should be sewn up in the carcasses of pigs and left for the jackals in the desert.

And, then we should get serious....
