Here's an image you will not see in the NEW YORKER or on 60 MINUTES:
An American soldier welcomed as a hero in Iraq!
As the world's satellites and printing presses await fresh images of troop horrors and abuse, soldiers on the ground e-mailed this snap of warm greetings from some of Iraq's women and children.

Too bad there's so little positive news coming out of Iraq. It's there, the accomplishments are so vast, the leftist media omits it at every opportunity.

Heart-warming.

By style of the dresses and head coverings, I would say this is Afghanistan and not Iraq (not that it matters too much).

Someone in another post was bashing Drudge (a little) for reporting leftist news. This is why drudge is great - he reports IT ALL, as it should be reported, letting the readers decide. Fox tries to do this to some extent, but if you are honest with yourself you know they've failed in that regard (however, as the only conservative news source in television history, its permissible for a while). The greatness of drudge is that anyone can go there and find something of value.

Don't you understand? Good news, success, and happiness doesn't sell. We WANT scandal, greed, conspiracy, pain, and smut. So sayeth the media....

By style of the dresses and head coverings, I'd say this picture was taken outside the 7-11 down the road from where I live.

If it doesn't fit the leftist perception of reality, it doesn't exist. Watching what is published in the NY Times, for example, (which I hate to do, one, because it makes me angry, two, because I hate to give them any hits) you see that they publish only what they want. They profess objectivity but don't practice it.
They are so afraid that the readers would not come to the same conclusions or develop the same opinions that they, the intelligent, wise caretakers of the media have, that they are afraid to present unaltered facts or what we would call the truth.

May God bless all decent Iraqis! May we not forget those who long to be free, in the midst of this madness. May God give us the strength to carry on and to find peace in the storm.

CNN identified the photo as having been taken on the border of Iraq and Afghanistan. That is REAL interesting considering the two countries share no common border and have at least 1000 KM of Iran between them...
