Pentagon possesses three disks of photos, one of which includes some brief video clips. Many of the photos are redundant, and some have little to do with Iraqi detainees but show sex between U.S. soldiers... Pentagon officials prevailed at least temporarily in their insistence that the administration not immediately release the images, which include the forced masturbation of a detainee...

As far as we know, the "forced self-diddling" garbage is not real.
However, if it is - it must be brought front and center for the world to see (the same if Iraqi guards did it to an American).
No?

It doesn't take a Carnac the Magnificent to glean the underlying question here:
"What can we write headlines about, instead of Kerry's credibility gaps, the economic recovery, and the UN corruption scandal?"

I am sure it was one of those two female soldiers doing it. Even the "moderate" muslims are going to leave the reservation over this. From what I've heard, Islam isn't all that turned off about homosexuality. Pedophilia seems to be permitted in the Koran. Do one perversion, might as well do them all.

This crew liked to take photographs, it seems. And they were kinky and perverted, to boot. That's putting it nicely and I agree it wasn't because the CIA told them to

The Democrats are always saying that this is Clinton's military... Good memory...I had forgotten that one...maybe we should email FoxNews to remind them...

This is going to blow up in libs faces bigtime. I can see it now. We will have to have congressional hearings on all things sex in the military. Have faith folks this should work to our advantage in the long run.

I wonder if it was this freak: http://www.nypost.com/news/worldnews/20515.htm This taken from the article you linked to--- An Army investigation revealed that her job was to "keep detainees awake" by making them stand on a box with wires attached to their fingers, toes and penis.
Sounds like the "freak" you are referring to was just following orders...I'm thinking this type of "intelligence activity" has been going on thru many wars with the U.S. as well as all other countries of the world...Could be the pictures were shown to other inmates as well to convince them to spill the beans...
The only thing different in this day and age is the media and the internet...Private interrogations are no longer so private...Some things the public is better off not knowing...

From what I've heard, Islam isn't all that turned off about homosexuality.Hmmmm... Is that why Saudi Arabia beheads homosexuals; Iran has them tossed off cliffs; and Egypt sentences them to 10-20 years in prison?

I wish Southack was here tonight to take some
well deserved bows.
This is just one of his posts.
Catch the last paragraph.
Southack has posted all along
that this prison thang was a gay porn ring
gone bad.

"Here it is... not much. Think he's running scared?"
It's easy to tell that Hackworth and his fellow liberals are running scared because Hackworth is caught spinning in his above column for his website.
Notice that he says that "Retired Master Sgt. William Lawson, who brought the atrocity story to SFTT.org..."
What Hackworth is trying to do is to convince the reader that Lawson exposed a coverup.
In reality, the abuse was reported on 13 January 2004 by Spc. Joseph Darby, followed by a DoD press conference on January 16th, I believe...far in advance of the Lawson->Hackworth->CBS 60 minutes "expose."
Further, what Hackworth did by interfering with one of the courts martial was risk that the American public will learn of a gay porn ring inside our military prisons; hardly a bonanza for either the Left or for Democrats, much less for our own captured POW's who may be directly harmed because of this exposure. Worse, it's now apparent that Lawson contacted 17 Congressional Democrats months ago...who did nothing. They now stand to be hoisted by their own petard.

New photos show Americans soldiers taking a leak? >>
Reminds me of a great story. On our drive to Baghdad CBS reporters were waiting while the 101st did some sort of roadside Break. Well being the passenger and we were performing a sustained move with my next break being 2 hours from then I decided to open up the 5 ton and do my thing, well It just so happens that near the end of my urination I came upon the news crew and pissed right in front of them. So maby in some small way I have gotten CBS back for the crap they have pulled since then. Of course I do remember a newscrew, maybe it was FOX watch and take pictures inastonishment at how the 3ID grunts all dismounted and urinated dress right dress from the end of the convoy to the front, while there buddies were laying on the ground near them providing guard.

I don't think it was being covered up and those who did these acts were being charged before the photo dump. The military has announced every step of the way when indictments and court martials were instigated (back in March).
I think showing the photos is inflammatory and the left was saying this was systemic and condoned.
It's not the same as if Iraqi guards did it since they would have done it with sanction from the highest levels as a matter of policy.
I am always in favor of truth and facts, so I have no problem with them being presented before the world. I am not in favor of those facts being used to tarnish honorable people.

Actually the reports I have heard are that it is PFC Englund and her boyfriend.

That news isn't new. Presumably the pictures haven't been released showing it precisely though.

The American people have a stronger resolve than the media or the Democrats even know. Most of the people who are outraged probably watch and read Playboy quite often. My point is, most of the people who are outraged are
acting like they're outraged, as if they've been living in a cave for 20 years, never seen MTV or watched the last Super Bowl (even that was way overblown).
I've actually told people I talk to quite frequently in town that I'm not outraged, or offended, but that I think this whole story is being way overplayed (can't escape it on 24/7 newschannels) and is way overblown (the phony shock people are projecting). Many people I've spoken to have a look of shock in their eyes, and I just stand firm in my belief. I'm not going to be outraged because the next person is outraged. That's not my true feelings about this whole story.

---Thank godness digital cameras weren't around when I was in the Army, I would still be Levenworth.---
You've got it! Nothing in any of this is new and it wouldn't have been news, except for the technology. The command has failed to take into account the security risk that digital cameras and video cameras facilitate.

I have a feeling although Islam openly condemns homosexuality they probably practice alot more than one thinks. With a very large and young male population and with relatively few women and comparison well you get the picture..
