(John Kerry? America just can't afford a 9/10 President in a 9/11 world. Vote Bush-Cheney '04.)
To: The G Man
I think that this "Proud to be an American" aspect of Bush is magnified because he is viewed in comparison to the last "president." That guy was cr*p!

What's that sound? Oh, I know. It's the sound of liberal talking heads, shrieking to their minions about how they can cover this story without mentioning the president.
To: The G Man
The NYT will now have an editorial asking him to resign.

He then asked Rita if she wanted to know why he'd go back and he told her "Because George W Bush makes me proud to be an American"!! I hope Katie Coutric gets to interview Mr. Hamill and he says the same to her

When film of him was shown shortly after his capture, in a car, under armed guard, he did not look like a fearful prisoner. He looked angry, not raging, but pissed off and determined. Kudos to him, both for his escape and for standing up to the imposing eye of media scrutiny and making sure that his message got out.
