Just how thick will the "common thread" have to get before people begin to see it?
I'm guessing somewhere around Queen Mary mooring hawsers.

Are you saying that once any agency, no matter how local, has your prints, they are available to any agency in the world? That is a bit scary.

I asked this in another thread, but how could they track this guy's prints like that? From what I read, he didn't have a criminal record. He was in the military...

The May 7th Fox story about him said
"Outside their home near Portland late Thursday, Mona Mayfield described her husband as "a good man, a good father, a good husband." The couple have two sons, ages 10 and 15, and a 12-year-old daughter."Apparently it's OK according to the Koran to blow up someone ELSE's sons and daughters, though.
The coward's way of warfare.

Something else I read today indicated that he was under suspicion prior to them checking his prints against the prints found in Spain.

I don't believe Oregon's DMV takes your prints to get a license. My wife and I did adopt a child through the state DHS and boy did we go through a mega background check including fingerprinting.

Saw his wife being interviewed on TV. Looks and sounds like she might be an Arab. Maybe that's how he got converted?

He was fingerprinted as part of the process of applying for admission to the Oregon State Bar, like all other applicants.

"...a 37-year-old U.S. citizen, lawyer and former Army officer who converted to Islam,..."
Another reason to suspect all Islamics no matter their origin. If there is a wave of serious terror attacks in the US I predict a massive internment and deportation of people who practice this "peaceful" religion.
