Rush said a few minutes ago, that if Bush apologizes, it's all over for him. Huh?

All over for who? Bush?

Is Rush not enough of a man to apologize for something that happened to humiliate a group of people?

Rush said a few minutes ago, that if Bush apologizes, it's all over for him. Huh?

And Rush insisted that Hillary wouldn't run, that the GOP would gain in 1998, and that Bush would win by more than expected in 2000.

This will be forgotten by election day.

Rush also said that the soliders were just blowing off steam and having some fun. Spoken like a true draft dodger, IMO.

Rush doesn't know what he's talking about. Again.

Rush also said Dole was going to win in 1996. And Bush 41 in 1992.

As a prognosticator of elections, Rush doesn't have a very good track record.

I don't think it's over for Dubya. I think he's making it a short story. When summer is over, this will just be a painful memory.

All campaigns have high and low points. This is just a low point.

For when we capture Osama - I'm thinking around August - everyone will consider this a vague memory ... a blip in the first term of a two term president.

Bush's retreat on this is most unfortunate. The instincts of this White House aren't great. Limbaugh's tact would have been preferable. This is appeasement--Bush shouldn't constantly cave to the dems and the media.

Rush is wrong. He's been wrong the whole time on this topic, making like it was no big deal, a lark, a fraternity prank.

Bush didn't have to apologize but I think it's fine that he did.

Yeah, well, some said RUSH would be over if the charges of poppin pills were true. He seems to have weathered the storm.

I am sure Bush can weather an "Oprah" moment or two.

Note to GWB: Just dont cry.

With the apology it is indeed over for GWB. If GWB can't differentiate humiliation from torture in his understanding with respect to his public statement and if he doesn't use the events of 9-11 to frame the issues or the events in the former Iraq regime then he misses the boat. He is impotent and made so by his statements.

What happens when battlefield conditions require destroying a mosque or using a C-130 gunship to take out a position and CNN has pictures of dead women and children? Does GWB apologize again? When this happens and it surely will, can he let it happen again? And after it happens, can we ever use the force necessary to win the war?

In my opinion, unless GWB declares that the events of humiliation are just that, and they are wrong but pale in comparison to what Islamists want to do to Americans, and that he will authorize the military to use the force required to win the war, then I think he is finished because I could never vote for a loser. If you throw a punch or step on the ice, or put the pads on to go into the game you better play to win because if you don't you will surely lose, and that is where we are right now.

The way I understood Rush was it is all over for freedom in America, because the majority will not fight for freedom.
