Who took the picture, this girl's family or a news photographer?
Is it just me, or does he seem to be looking at the camera as if to say, "Get that thing out of my face right now?" As if he has a sense of what's proper at such a time.
Bill Clinton would have been hamming it up for the camera at a moment like this.

Boy, he looks like he's gonna cry (just like me, sniff sniff, wipe eyes)
At least he doesn't have to say "I feel your pain" because people can see it. What a good person. And he really seems to have comforted her.

Why hasn't this picture made the news? Oh, I remember; we have to save room for pictures of the prisoner abuse in Iraq. It's a shame that a few idiots and that diesel dyke reservist might cost President Bush his reelection.

I have a meeting to go to in 10 minutes, and I'm sitting here with tears rolling down my face. God bless our President.
To: BlueLancer
I'm really touched. NOthing like shedding a few tears to start the day. Bush is genuine here. Unlike Clinton, he DOES feel her pain - it's on his face and shown in his gentle and loving embrace.

Wow, everytime I have any doubts about this man something like this comes along and confirms what an honorable and decent man he truly is. I make my living reading people's faces and judging their honesty and I have never seen a polititician as genuine and real as our current President. I shudder to think of how our previous president would have handled this situation. After exploiting the girl and her family for a photo op he would have probably told her how much he feels her pain and tried to grope her. Of course it sounds like she has a great father who would probably never let Clinton within fifty feet of his daughter. God Bless George W. Bush. Now I've got to wipe the tears from my eyes and get to work.

OMG....I'm in tears.
I saw excerpts from the president's visit to Lebanon and squealed with delight when I saw the Golden Lamb in the background. That was my then-teenaged daughter's favorite restaurant when we lived in Centerville 1989-1992.
I wish this scene had been carried by the networks. How can anyone not feel blessed by having such a compassionate and moral man as our leader?
Thank you BlueLancer for the photo and thank you ((((OWF)))) for the ping.

That is a great picture. Full of compassion for the girl, but also with a "not now" look for the shutterbug Dad.
This guy is the real deal.

Dang blurry monitor!
That's why I hate what the media is doing with these prisoner abuse photos. They're trying to make it seem like the President must be heartless for 'allowing' stuff like that to happen. FEH!
It seems he didn't even know about the ongoing investigation in the military until the photos hit the media. I'd read that he really reamed Rumsfeld when the story broke!

Great post. It seems every time America is challenged we produce a great and good man to lead.
As for the slimes, Clinton would have felt her up and Kerry would have picked her pocket.
