Thanks for posting this.

Growing up, I didn't have many "heroes" in my life. As an adult, I FINALLY have one.
President Bush is my hero, and I make no apologies for it. I love the guy!! And I worship the ground he walks on. He is the most honest, decent human being we've had in The White House in a long, long, time. I will do EVERYTHING I can to make sure he stays there!!

In times of change.......PRESIDENT BUSH !!

Thanks for the ping - my eyes just keep watering, darn it.

I really think President Bush is one of the best presidents this country has ever had. He is a sincere, caring man - SINCERE!

May God bless him and protect him, and give him the strength and the vision to do his job.

Such a night and day contrast to the unmentionable subhuman felonious scum he took over from.

You, sir, are a good poet! That would make a great song if some tunesmith could make a tune for it.

Have you written other poems?

You are right, the heroes were hard to come by for a while there...

and I was always saddened and dismayed that the first president of MY generation was such a jacka** and an embarrassment...

But with GW breaking on the scene, you could tell right off, during his debates with ALBORED, that this man talked with his heart and pretty much stood for what I believed, too...

I am proud to be an American with this man as our Leader. I really do pray for his good health and counsel during the on-coming years.

It was here at the Golden Lamb north of Cincinnati. Her father was on local radio and He took that picture.

"think john f'ing kerry would let a teenage girl cry and snot on his shirt if he was the prez? do you think he would even let a "commoner" touch him?"

I think Kerri would ask fiorst how much she's worth, financially speaking.

What a great man we have in President Bush.

Prayers to Ashley and her family.

For a moment in her life, the most powerful man in the world held her in his strong arms while the most important man in her life took their picture.

God bless the Faulkner family, and God bless President Bush for taking that moment to give such comfort to a girl he had never met.

Hi Victoria

I hope all is well.

We have quite a President, don't we? Bush demonstrates the very character that the libs claim we all should have, and the story goes untold except in the local papers.

Yes we do. The Liberals only interest is to destroy him politically… any way they can.

The president takes this verse very seriously.

"Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11:29

I think Cox Newspapers can handle the upload bandwidth. I had hesitated about posting it because of the added download bandwidth it would require of everyone who loads the page. That said, I am thankful that bondjamesbond went and posted it. It is the most meaningful picture I have seen in years.

Saw the photo on Drudge and without reading why he was comforting the girl, tears welled up in my eyes knowing he was truly moved by something.

"But this was the real deal. I was really impressed. It was genuine and from the heart."

Nice words but where has he been for four years not to notice the real deal who occupies the Oval Office?
