[history]
Steve Doocy was in Washington during the White House Correspondents Dinner. He also toured many of the Washington monuments with the rest of his family, and another visiting family.
He went to the after party at the Hay Adams hotel. His kids ran ahead of him, and got on the elevator. They went up ahead of him. But when Doocy went to push the elevator button it wouldn't work.
Kerry was at a wedding on the 10th floor, and had security shut the elevators off. As a result Doocy was separated from his kids for 20 mintues.

THANK YOU BOXFORD!!! I'm watching these exchanges thinking the same damn thing... Which one is going to grab his bat and ball and go home??
My biggest question about the article was, what were the names of the two guys getting married??

"You love me...You really love me."

Doocy said it on TV. I don't think they will put this up on the Web site. Every link that's been posted is bogus. Now I understand. It's not online is it?

"This is an extremely fancy hotel. I don't believe there were any stairs. "
There has to have been stairs...fire/safety codes and all that jazz. No one can take the elevator if there is a fire in the building. They usually automatically shut down, so there has to be another avenue of egress.
But the bottom line is, the elevators shouldn't have been shut down for safety purposes. What would have happened if somebody had had to be removed by ambulance and the elevators weren't working to get to them. I'd like to see Kerry sued for something like that.

Hell no its not online!

"I got to the end hit the link as it says and could not find the article ...others will do the same"
Read through the comments prior to yours. You'll find that it was noted the story had apparently been removed from Fox News since it had been posted here on FR, and that the link was not good anymore.

"Look at the complaints"
Yeah, it looks like its the talking points from the Dems this morning.

"He should have posed for pictures as he headed up the stairs, too. "
He was probably afraid he'd fall down them. Klutz Kerry.

Or that somebody would knock him down, LOL!

"Look at the complaints" Yeah, it looks like its the talking points from the Dems this morning. I had the same impression. The disruptive trolls are up early.

Nah, they either haven't had their first cup of coffee yet, or they're ticked because it's Monday again and they've got to go into work. Retirement can do wonders for a body. I know from experience.

Good. I think this is what Sean Hannity was talking about when he said Freepers were "eating their own" Hardly. This is what most freepers would call a 'massive waste of bandwith'.
Do we really need a thread for every pithy comment made on television and radio?
BTW, the USSS would do this for any guarded politician. File this incident under 'No Big Friggin' Deal'.

He could be sued for having the elevators stopped.

It is hard to understand your attitude....you posted the story ...you want people to read it ...you screwed up....your post was confusing.... yet you didnt want to fix it....you seemed annoyed when other people wasted their time trying to figure out your post.... and to top it off the post was about the arrogance of Kerry .....now is your arrogance better than Kerry's? I did fix it after giving you a chance to redeem yourself...

LOL! There was no confusion!
The moderators saw the small problem and fixed it.
But you managed to turn a molehill into a mountain.
Do you do that with everything in your life?
To: mass55th
The poster screwed up ..the link never went to an article (this was something on tv)because the poster screwed up I and others attempted to follow the link ....and the tail end of his story was not posted till #4 (which I and others did not find until after our fruitless search)
Rather than simply apologize for his mistake and ask the mods to fix it the poster castigated those who were confused.
