They really should bring Ari back as press secretary.Wouldn't that be wonderful! Ari probably is enjoying better hours whatever he's doing now though.

MTP
Wilson reminds me of Clarke. Both seem to be disgruntled governmentists who didn't get promotion/government position they wanted in the Bush administration, so they have concocted hit-books at the administration.

Brit's opinion is exactly mine.

Me too.
#1 - Fox should mention Afghanistan and remind viewers that Iraq had many ties to terrorism and AQ and that the war in Iraq is part of a larger war and should not be viewed individually.
#2 - Fox should discuss, as you suggested, the oil for food bribes and that some people were willing to let women and children starve and worse so they could line their own pockets.
#3 - A 10 minute historical perspective would be appreciated. How long it took to establish democracy in Japan (6-7 years as a freeper mentioned earlier in the thread)
#4 - Some patriotic music.
#5 - SOME reminder of 9/11 and how this all started.

The President joked last night about how he had helped the economy - just look at the publishing industry.

Pat Tillman may be off topic BUT that young man did more for his country in 3 years than Biden, Kennedy and Kerry in their full politcal careers combined (and I'll toss in Kerry's military, ahem, "career").
Remember, too, that liberals/socialists/communists don't like the idea of national heroes and so they try to tear them, real heroes, down. Heroism goes against the grain of liberalism, socialism, communism.

Brit is the best... I love the way he just dismisses Bob Kerrey as a loudmouthed puff-ball, but even recognizes that he's not worthy of too much condemnation because, well, he's just not that significant. Wonderful.
And good for Chris Wallace and FoxNews for the "What We've Accomplished" plan for next week. That's why FoxNews is taking over cable TV news.

Ben Knighthorse Campbell and Tommy Thompson look a lot more natural on a bike than JFK!Did Kerry have 'Jeeves' start it for him?
To: Mo1
LOL. Wilson and Annan. Looks to me like the Kerry campaign produced MTP this week.
To: Semper Paratus
Time magazine has gotten a leak about what the president told the 9/11 Commission it appears.
President Bush says that Clinton did not place an emphasis on terrorism. (That's the understatement of the year)

He said they contacted no family members in an interview on radio, I believe, and no excuse for not contacting them. Kristol is right about Koppel, and Cronkite. Real sickos.

I'm depending on your posts to this thread for any info from Russert's interview of McCain. I can't stomach watching either of them. Thanks in advance.
To: Lacey
Why in the world is MTP giving that guy the time of day? Is Tim just trying to compete with CBS in the Hate-Bush-Book-Of-The-Month club?
Yes. I was thinking similar thoughts about the hit-book-of-the-week. Woodward's book was such a fizzle that Russert had to dig old-new-Wilson up to vet this story again.
The Left is desperate to find an issue that will stick. They can't seem to find one. So they keep trying to resurrect issues. Case in point - Kerry bringing up GWB's NG service again last week.

Peach, allow me to add to your list:
Whether WMDs are ever discovered, the War in Iraq encouraged Khadaffy (sp?) to give up his WMDs (which were FAR MORE advanced than anyone previously knew), and this concession also provided insight into Pakistan's dealing in WMDs to rogue regimes. THIS WAS A HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT that is difficult to fully comprehend or value.
To: Peach; Miss Marple
This is what we love Fox for, to dangle a preposition.
It isn't that sober conservatives think that "bad" news should never be reported. It's a matter of what's left out, what's silenced, what's ignored.
Fox news, at its best, tells the REST of the story, that changes the story.
I think that's why we love it. And Brit Hume tends to be the king of that particular virtue.

Catch all on previous posts in thread -
There is a secret deal in the works to take Kofi Annan out of the UN and give him a soft landing into exile 7 miles south and install him as "Mayor for Life" in Newark, NJ -- Sharpe James wants a Cadillac a year -- stay tuned!
