I thought that was the plan all along, and who do you think they will bring in to save the party?

I read this earlier on WND and was hoping I'd see it here. Great post!
To: luv2ski
Nope. Too late. They would rather lose than to admit they messed up.
Pride before the fall!

I foresee a coup by Madame Evita Hillary Rodhamista.
(Don't cry for me, Palestine-a)
I foresee a "sudden health crisis " for Senator Kerry-("ouch my prostate is acting up- wait, I don't HAVE a prostate...")
The DNC's very own bride of Frankenstein will be blushingly and reluctantly drafted by popular acclaim, of course.

Unforunately (for them!) the Torcelli option is not viable on the national stage. It would destroy the party.
If they blatantly pulled Kerry in favor of a more moderate candidate, they would give 20% of the vote to Nader. If they pulled him in favor of a more left-wing candidate, they'd give 10% of the vote to Bush.
Not only that, there are no longer any adults in cahrge of the Democratic Party who would have the authority to do this.

There was a growing "dump Clinton" buzz among Dems in May & June of 1992 also.

My fellow freepers seem to think it will be she whose name must not be named but I don't see how that happens if the delegates are committed to Kerry. He would have to back out on his own and I don't see him doing it. I don't think they can just call for an open convention- that's what the primaries were supposed to be all about. I sincerely hope I'm not wrong about this.

Kerry has won the delegates to be the nominee.

Fraid so.

I don't think so for a couple of reasons.
First is the fact that I think Hillary can't run. She has some very serious legal issues swirling around her at this point. Second is the fact that John Kerry wants it too bad. He would have to drop out and i doubt he can.

Yes the Dems will want to replace the J F Kerry.
But we must remember that The Dem party is no longer
being ran by the People. The party is now the sole plaything of the Xlintoons. No Dem will win the Election unless it be Shillery.

I doubt Hillary will stand anywhere near the nomination platform in Boston this year. There is a good chance that no one will beat Bush this year. Any Democrat would come close - we are a divided country. But Hillary wants a little more of a sure thing.
I think she'll be happy to let Kerry flameout. He won't drop below 47% in the final vote in my opinion anyway, no matter what he does.
To: OldFriend
I cannot see this option as viable either. Hillary! is not that well-liked in the Democrat establishment and despite our fears to the contrary, cannot do much better than Kerry. She's running just as left in her comments as he is.
It isn't as much the personality, it is what they believe that is why Kerry is doing so poorly.

who do you think they will bring in to save the party?Who do they have other than hillary? And this is perfect for her. She couldn't survive a primary, and this way, Pres. Bush would have to be the "heavy" picking on "the girl".
It's her best chance. And with billy on his book tour at the same time, she'll get far more press time than Bush will.

1980 Roger Mudd-Teddy Kennedy exchange through which it dawned on America that a senator in search of a verb wasn't really equipped to be a president. I probably should know, but can anyone tell me what this refers to?

When Eagleton resigned as VP candidate, the DNC held a "special" convention of just big-wigs, who nominated Sargent Shriver. No "rules" required.

You are correct.
What many here don't know, but should,is that Kerry has the delegates to win.The super delegates can't change the fact that Kerry IS the presumptive candidate. There hasn't been a brokered convention in many decades, and there really is NOT a "smoky backroom",where the higher ups choose the candidate. If there was such a thing, Clinton would NEVER have been the Dem '92 candidate.
Kerry won't back down, back out, leave, and he has the Dem nomination on the first ballot.
THERE IS NO WAY THAT HITLERY! CAN TAKE THE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDCY AWAY AT THE CONVENTION IN JULY.
To: OldFriend
What if Kerry has an accident? Or something that looks like an accident?
Giuliani came down with a prostate condition. Kennedy's plane crashed. Both of these events increased Mrs. Clinton's chances of election.
