My fellow freepers seem to think it will be she whose name must not be named but I don't see how that happens if the delegates are committed to Kerry. He would have to back out on his own and I don't see him doing it. I don't think they can just call for an open convention- that's what the primaries were supposed to be all about. I sincerely hope I'm not wrong about this.

You are correct.

What many here don't know, but should,is that Kerry has the delegates to win.The super delegates can't change the fact that Kerry IS the presumptive candidate. There hasn't been a brokered convention in many decades, and there really is NOT a "smoky backroom",where the higher ups choose the candidate. If there was such a thing, Clinton would NEVER have been the Dem '92 candidate.

Kerry won't back down, back out, leave, and he has the Dem nomination on the first ballot.

THERE IS NO WAY THAT HITLERY! CAN TAKE THE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDCY AWAY AT THE CONVENTION IN JULY.

Just because there are supposedly party rules in place that prohibit replacing Kerry, don't think that it won't happen. After all, replacing Torricelli the way they did was against the law in NJ, but they got away with it anyway!
