I cannot see this option as viable either. Hillary! is not that well-liked in the Democrat establishment and despite our fears to the contrary, cannot do much better than Kerry. She's running just as left in her comments as he is.
It isn't as much the personality, it is what they believe that is why Kerry is doing so poorly.

Giuliani came down with a prostate condition. Kennedy's plane crashed. Both of these events increased Mrs. Clinton's chances of election.

Yea, I think we need to point out when a post is just goofy.
The Dems aren't dumping Kerry any more than we are dumping Bush. We may see things that will cause him to lose, but the Dem base is happy he's out there bashing Bush, supporting rolling back the tax cuts, abortion and all the rest.
