My apologies if a thread already exists. I did a search on "Toomey" and found nothing.
I arrived at my polling area (suburban Philadelphia) at 6:45 am to hand out palm cards. The weather is terrific this morning, but turnout (I thought) was light (I had to leave at 9:15, but will be back).
Actually, I have a good feeling about Pat.

Just concerned about Bush carrying Pennsylvania and the Senate control in general. I hope if Toomey wins the nom. he can win the gen.. Not sure if Penn will put a true conservative in in Spectors spot...typing in the dark, sorry for the tuipos.

So are you as shocked as I am at how close this is no matter who wins?
I was rooting for Toomey, but really thought that the last minute ads would boost Spector 3-4 points.

I'm just doing some scratch calculations. If we assume the non-reporting precincts have the now-established turnout, 117,000 votes remain uncounted. Toomey trails by 9,000.
It's not out of reach.

Until FR came up I've been relying on NRO's The Corner...Kathryn's doing a good job posting the numbers.

right...I don't understand why people are celebrating that Specter is gone when Specter is still clearly in the lead.

That Bush Santorum support cost Toomey. He would have definitely won with it being this close.

What are the non reporting precincts, and how did they vote in 2000?
To: All
Reminder: We will support the rightmost candidate who is viable in November.

Don't know who hasn't reported. DOS site sucks. They had a "0" result for westmoreland coutny last I checks.
97% of the Westomoreland vote is now in w/ Toomey leading by 9,000 votes. If that's not factored in it's a tie.
Allegheny is 99.7% done, Toomey wins by 8,000,. Again, don't know if that's factored in.
