Thanks so much.
I talked to my sister a bit. Things sound less dire than when I talked to my mom at around noon. Her blood pressure is way high (which is where I get it apparently) but so far other things seem less urgent. May be something other than a stroke. My mother has not been good about seeeking medical care in the past so maybe this will scare some sense in to her.

I'm heading over to the hospital now. If she's ok, I'm off to San Diego tomorrow. If she's not ok, I'm not going to SD but I probably won't be checking in here either.
In any event, thanks for all the prayers.

"What is going to happen on Tuesday is an event that is really historical in dimension," John O'Neill, a Vietnam veteran who served in the Navy as a PCF (Patrol Craft Fast) boat commander, told CNSNews.com . The event, which is expected to draw about 25 of the letter-signers, is being organized by a newly formed group called Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. "We have 19 of 23 officers who served with [Kerry]. We have every commanding officer he ever had in Vietnam. They all signed a letter that says he is unfit to be commander-in-chief," O'Neill said."

With all the uproar over the "torture" of the Iraqi prisioners (WHAT torture, I ask??), I wonder as did Rush, where was the outrage when our government was killing and burning innocent American women and children in Waco 11 years ago?? This is microscopic compared to that act of torture.

Speaking of Rush, does it seem to anyone else that he is having trouble hearing his callers?? It's noticeable because he keeps talking over top of them, just like deaf people do during a conversation.

One of the guys responsible for the photos is a full time corrections officer at a Virginia State prison.

I dunno. These prisoners seem to have been treated very well when you compare their treatment to that of, say, American prisoners at "the Hanoi Hilton". Now that was abuse, torture, and death. None of that is going on here in the Iraqi situation. Maybe some humiliation, but certainly not torture.

And as far as outrage is concerned, I think we are all outraged, especially since this foolish action has done harm to the war effort. I only ask where was the similar outrage when our own government was killing and burning its own citizens?? Not saying one cancels the other at all.
