"I will never cower before any master nor bend to any threat"
Two Chinese diplomats, away from their Los Angeles consulate improperly, recently sped their vehicle past a Los Alamos National Laboratory guard post near classified facilities in what U.S. officials think was an intelligence mission, The Washington Times has learned.

The President cannot do a thing about freeing Cuba.
The minute that he attempts it, we will have all the communist countries attack us. For if they loose Cuba, they have lost the best place to launch attacks on the U.S. from.
The Cuba that "was" is gone, after 40+ plus years of communist brainwashing, the average citizen will not welcome us.
China and Russia have kept Cuba supplied with the needed war tools and ships, so we will in effect be fighting all three of them.
Never forget that Cuba can hit this country with anything they want and all without warnings. 90 miles is nothing.
But I am very willing to find out that my opinion is wrong.

From International Association of Chiefs of Police:
Weapons of Mass Destruction Executive Level Awareness Nationwide Launch in May 2004
Under a grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Office for Domestic Preparedness, and in collaboration with the School of Criminal Justice at Michigan State University, the IACP has developed the curriculum Leading from the Front: Weapons of Mass Destruction Awareness for the Law Enforcement Executive. From May to September 2004, this two-day, tuition-free course will be presented in sixteen locations throughout the country and is open to registrants whose agency is located within 250 miles from the training site. Chiefs of police, public safety directors, and/or executive level law enforcement personnel in command staff positions, or who may be called upon to be incident commanders during a Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) incident or in planning a response to a WMD incident are invited to attend.
The training encourages law enforcement executives to engage in forward thinking relative to preparation for and response to a WMD incident, and the course material enhances their knowledge in detecting and deterring acts of terrorism, responding and mitigating the consequences of a WMD attack, and helping determine tools, resources and support systems in the community for planning and responding to WMD incidents and other disasters. (See link for module-by-module course outline and agenda.)

Dear Selene-
Re: "This rest stop is in a rural area near the Sacramento International Airport and directly under the low flying incoming planes' flight paths"
This says it all, doesn't it. I wonder if the powers that be closed the stop to prevent jihadies from launching missiles from that location.
I really would like to know what was in that metal box!
Has there been any further update on the story?
To: Jill St Claire
Sounds awful and a total pain. I'm sorry it happened to you, but very glad you have it under control. Thanks for keeping in touch and letting us know.

My wife and I are making a trip to Yellowstone on Mother's Day weekend. Norris geyser basin is first on the list this year. The 10 day weather looks favorable at this point.

Re: Baker
I was wondering if this referred to the terrorists who would mix the poisons prior to their use.
To: Myrddin
I posted too soon- your explanation of the "baker" makes much more sense.

I can't wait for your first hand impressions. I think something is up with that entire region. I've been looking back over some of their records and there is an increase in activity and events from years gone by. We've discussed all of that and more online here, but still think we ought to keep an eye on that area.

"I have surge protectors on most of my stuff. Don't know if they help or not, but yes have several brown outs, if that's what causes the dimming of light bulbs. Interesting."
The surge protectors only protect against high voltage...Not low voltage. However it is unlikely that Electronic equipment will be damaged by low voltage alone. Unless there are High voltage spikes mixed in. However as it was said...Many Motors are very unhappy with low volgage situations(Brown outs). They should be shut down imediately or you risk loosing them.

Not to be paranoid- but I would personally leave the mall if I saw ANYONE wearing a burka. No telling what could be hidden under there.

Has to be an inside job.

Swarm Of Bees Attack Lakeside Workers
The San Diego Channel ^ | 4/29/04
Officials Warn Residents To Stay Indoors
LAKESIDE, Calif. -- Two people have been stung multiple times by what authorities believe to be Africanized honey bees, also known as killer bees, 10News reported.
The cloud of insects descended on one of the victims shortly before 10:30 a.m. in a front yard on Castle Court Drive, near Los Coches Road in the Lakeside, according to 10News.
According to 10News, a gardener using power tools hit a hive, which caused the bees to swarm.
A contractor and his 16-year-old son, who were working down the street, heard the gardener screaming and ran to help him. The teenager grabbed a hose and started spraying the gardener with water. The bees then swarmed around the young man, stinging him.
"I couldn't see any sky. Squirting them with the hose was all we could do," said the gardener, who does not want to be identified. "The guy who was trying to help me, he got attacked by the bees, so I started squirting his head. Then the bees starting going after me, again. He just took off running and gashed his leg on a fence and jumped into a dirty pond."
A homeowner heard the screaming and called 911.
"I was woken up by the two gentleman in my front yard spraying themselves with a hose trying hysterically to get the bees off of them," said Matt Pereira who witnessed the bee attack.
According to 10News, bees are still swarming the area. Fire officials warned residents to stay indoors and keep pets inside.
County Agriculture Department officials sent an expert to the scene to determine if the bees are so-called killer bees.
Africanized honey bees have been migrating from South America since the 1950s. Scientists say they look like a domestic honey bee and are no more poisonous, but they are much more aggressive. They are known to chase their victims up to a half mile before attacking.
To: Honestly
Why is it a strange story?
I've never seen my husband run so fast uphill with a swarm of angry bees right behind him.
It's funny now.
It wasn't then.
As for the "killer bees", scientists have been monitoring their paths for quite some time now.
