Two Chinese diplomats, away from their Los Angeles consulate improperly, recently sped their vehicle past a Los Alamos National Laboratory guard post near classified facilities in what U.S. officials think was an intelligence mission, The Washington Times has learned.

Thanks Donna. I didn't take it for an "imminent strike" message. However, it did motivate me to think that none of us knows when "imminent" will actually be. That means its time to clean up my act and get the job completed. Putting things off generally is no big deal....unless it is one that could save your life and that of your loved one(s).

I was hoping SP could make some sense of it. They are boasting of course about the countries pulling out of Iraq. And the black winds thing again, that seems to be a continuing similarity throughout all their postings no matter which site or person it comes from. One report I read or maybe it was on tv, said that one of the trains was carrying dynamite. But who knows yet what was really happening.

Anchor: Some people have testified that the disaster at Ryongcheon Railway Station in North Korea could have been prevented. A span of 40 minutes, during which the cargo trains were engulfed in flames, was the decisive moment that has determined the fate of many Ryongcheon residents. Correspondent Jang Han-sik reports from Dandong.

Reporter:
At 11:30 a.m. on April 22, a high-tension wire exploded, spewing sparks which turned into powerful flames that consumed the cargo trains. Station officials immediately rushed out to bring the fire under control to no avail.

Witness of the explosion at Ryongcheon Station:
When the high-tension wire was cut off, there was no train to haul the cars because they were electricity-driven engines. They could have hauled the trains, if they were driven by coal or oil.

Reporter:
About 20 minutes later, four dilapidated fire engines arrived, only to find that the task was beyond their capacity.

Witness of the explosion at Ryongcheon Station:
Fire engines arrived and tried to bring the fire under control for about 20 minutes. But it was no use.

Reporter:
The area in and around the station was crowded with people who had come to watch the fire during lunchtime, rather than taking shelter. At around 12:10 p.m., when signs of explosion became evident, station officials shouted, "Take shelter immediately!" But it was too late.

Witness of the explosion at Ryongcheon Station:
We thought it was just a common fire, and couldn't have possibly imagined the magnitude of the explosion.

Reporter:
A span of 40 minutes has determined the fate of many Ryongcheon residents. It was long enough to have the students from a nearby elementary school, which suffered the greatest damage, to take shelter.

It is heartbreaking to think that if people had responded to the accident with more composure, they could have prevented the massive explosion. Or at least, the damages could have been minimized.

I drove by the I-5 rest stop today and yes, it is closed and has been for a while (supposedly for repairs to the septic system).

I did not see any evidence of any type of construction work being done. The ramps were closed off with concrete barriers.

Here's the interesting thing. This rest stop is in a rural area near the Sacramento International Airport and directly under the low flying incoming planes' flight paths. I saw two planes coming in. Also the rest stop is at the base of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Bridge.

I say- Keep this rest stop closed permanently.

This is completely off the wall, but, "food secret" combined with "baker" made me think of bread yeast; which expands and grows (kind of). Made me think of mushroom cloud. Like I said, kind of off the wall random thinking.

I'm at 4600 ft. The mountains immediately east of me rise to 6700 ft. To the south, the mountains rise to 8700 ft. North and west is the Snake River Plain. Nice sunsets and fierce wind storms. If I go east about 1/4 mile, I have a clear view 90 miles across the Arco desert.
