Kerry's Peeps Revile Priests at Pro-Abortion March
Sunday, April 25, 2004 | Kristinn

The best way I can explain what I witnessed at today's so-called March for Women's Lives is to reference the movie, The Exorcist. When the possessed child, Regan, is confronted by priests who have come to expel the evil spirit from her, she reacts in shockingly vulgar, profane ways.

That is how thousands of 'pro-choice' demonstrators reacted to the presence of a lone priest blessing and praying for them along the march route.

Father Reynolds stood for hours this afternoon on Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, in front of the Navy Memorial. Other members of the clergy and pro-life activists were spread out along the same block. Almost nonstop, he made the sign of the cross with his right arm while speaking to the marchers offering blessings and prayers.

The response was nothing short of satanic. Father Reynolds was cursed at and flipped off by hundreds of marchers, many of whom sported Kerry stickers. Many other marchers mocked the sign of the cross. Some denounced God while others denied His existence.

Marchers screamed at the top of their lungs against the priest. He was repeatedly accused of being a child molester by those who support the murder of children.

One woman walked up to the priest and stood just on the other side of the police-manned fence separating the sides. She made the sign of the cross, but finished by thrusting her hips forward at the priest while she dramatically grabbed her crotch.

All the while, 'pro-choice' marchers were walking behind our lines with the permission of police. This caused me and another man to stand guard by Father Reynolds because the 'pro-choice' marchers kept harassing him and the police were slow to intervene.

I was wishing I had a video camera to document this. To see Kerry supporters acting in such a revealing and demonic manner was unsettling. Hour after hour passed of this vile, contemptuous behavior toward the priest. Noone on their side tried to rein in their evil behavior. It was the Democratic party at its most real.

The last group in the march was a bunch of homosexuals in drag who stopped and sang crude, profane songs meant to insult the clergy.

Father Reynolds blessed the men, as he had done thousands of others all afternoon. His faith was not shaken by the way he was treated today. He remained in good spirits throughout. His blessing arm was almost worn out, though :-)

The lines at our end were pretty thin. Further back I'm told the pro-lifers were at least one deep for six blocks or so.

I didn't see any celebrities or politicians march by that I recognized. The local news showed Her Heinous, Whoopi Goldberg, Cybill Shepard, Susan Sarandon and Kathleen Turner.

All the while, 'pro-choice' marchers were walking behind our lines with the permission of police.

The same thing happened where I was too. In fact, Cybill Shepherd and some other "celebs" walked right behind us.

Guaranteed, if you guys had crossed into their march, you'd have been arrested.

No guarantee needed. It happened. I was taken into custody for 3 hours for doing exactly that. Our organizer had a permit to allow women who regret their abortions to stand on the Constitution Avenue side of the Mall, but it was revoked a week before the death march by the police. The organizer went to court, represented by the ACLJ, to try to get a temporary restraining order, but lost on appeal. We went anyway, protesting on First Amendment grounds, since the public was still being allowed to float through on the public sidewalks. Since the police were notified in advance of our intentions, 16 of us were arrested and charged with "demonstrating without a permit." I'll go into detail about my whole day tomorrow when I have more energy.

BTW, did they pick up there own trash? Or did they leave it for somebody else to clean up. Rats are famous for leaving messes, especially the Enviro-wackos when they have their "functions."

I used Flora's megaphone to make a few announcements.

One I asked for a show of hands for anyone who considered themselves an "environmentalist". When they raised their hands, I said, "Good, now please pick up a piece of trash and take it with you."

Another announcement, "Your attention please, it is now mandatory exercise period for all environmentalists. I want every enviromantalist to bend at the waist, touch your toes and while you're down there, grab a piece of litter."

"I realise that George Bush is poisoning the planet, but could we please have the envronmentalists please come back and take their trash with them."

Normally the police are very diplomatic about laughing at jokes and seeming to side with a party to a "dispute" but on those announcements more than a few laughed.

BINGO. Sometimes people can make it so clear by their behavior who their master is. Through their bitterness and evil they could not even see that this man was blessing them--praying for them. Reviled just like Jesus on the cross.

They're playing hardball? That's ridiculous.

Every report I've seen lists the huge numbers. What's with these people? They don't have any regard for the sanctity of life, that's for sure. And I read that list - so many people are NOT on it, there is hope.

My kids and I were watching C-span yesterday. I contrasted the actions of the Blessed Mother in choosing to do God's will even though she was unmarried, young, and in a position where she would have been stoned to death to those vile creatures (won't even call them women) ranting and raving.

Actually, the papers are reporting that one man got arresting for throwing a plastic egg full of ink at a sign. Since they're NOT reporting what the sign said, I would bet money that it was a pro-abort throwing ink at a pro-lifer's sign.

Steve is writing our story & will post it when he's finished.

I hope Father Reynolds knows how much he is appreciated for taking on the role of a lightening rod. When faced with the presence of Christ and His Gospel, the face of Satan shows it's true contenance.

Pro-aborts are beyond vile. Not only do they openly advocate the violent murder of the most helpless, but they are simplistic imbeciles to boot.

Let's spoil their little party and re-elect Bush in a landslide.

It's amazing ... these pro-aborts claim to be fighting for the rights of women, yet they insist on supporting the very tool that keeps a lot of women enslaved to our highly sexualized culture. The culture stipulates that women must 'put out' in order to express themselves as psychologically healthy people (not to mention just to GET A MAN in the first place ... doesn't sound very feminist, does it?). They expose themselves to the possibility of disease, pregnancy, and the psychological harm of being abandoned or discarded. Then, if the natural result of sexual intercourse occurs (i.e., a BABY), they must rip out their insides to keep the party going, which causes a great deal of psychological harm in many cases. I agree with Patricia Heaton: women deserve better.

Thank you for once again standing in the gap.

Your story about Father Reynolds gives an enhanced meaning to when Jesus said on the cross 'Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do."

Your article here, as written, would make an excellent letter to the editor to the Wash Times and the Compost.

I would have liked to give my regards in person this coming weekend for the WH correspondents dinner, but the missus and I are now unable to make it to DC next Saturday.

However, with the ranks of the quality of marchers seen yesterday, there will be ample opportunities to come down to DC and protest.

And may God mightily bless Father Reynolds.

And the DC Freepers, too.

Amen to that. I hate to use the words a liberal might, but I was a 'victim' to that thinking as a teen. And what joy it is now to be on the other side of that with a strong, loving husband and a third child on the way. We just went on a maternity tour and we saw the babies that were in the nursery at the time. How anyone who could disperse of such a miracle or shirk the awesome role God has given a women to aid in his creation processes. I was once again awe-inspired that even being so damn sinful, God has given me a hand in his creative light by being able to carry and bear children. Praise God!!
