VOTE PRO-LIFE YARD SIGN PROJECT.
4-24-04 | That would be me.

Posted on 04/24/2004 7:54:12 PM PDT by cpforlife.org

4 years ago for the presidential election, I made up this simple “Vote Pro-Life” Yard sign. Through the wonderful generosity of a great pro-lifer we were able to distribute 12,000 across South Louisiana.

Now we are working on a new design and want to make it better than the first. Below is a fairly rough idea. I know Freepers have great imaginations and I’d like to see what y’all think, and hopefully make some suggestions. It will be 2-sided and 16 in. x 26 in.

To keep costs low it will be a white sign with blue overlay cut out to form the image and text like this Christmas sign.

Once we finalize it I will post the print ready artwork and the sign company’s info on my website, so that pro-lifers across the country can use / order them.

All suggestions are very welcome. Let’s make this the most victorious Pro-Life election season ever.

I can't remember how to post images, but here's a link to the Republican National Coalition for Life's site, where they sell bumperstickers that affirm "I vote pro-life."

I get positive feedback on mine all the time.

I agree. The old sign is better. The message has to be quick and unambiguous. VOTE FOR LIFE (with maybe a line-drawn baby). Now, aren't you glad you asked for help? LOL. YOu will have 950 different ideas.

Another idea would be to zoom in a little on the baby in the womb and have the caption say, "Please, protect me with your vote."

By the way, are you part of the group that has the billboard on I-10 between exits 173 and 177? I like that one also.

This is somewhat off topic, but I would like to know how you put graphics in a post. I have tried, but it doesn't work.

Thanks,

Tom

Great, this is my next project!

I have been calling to plan a meeting just yesterday. I was going to suggest the voter registration, and a yard sign campaign.

That sign is by a great Knights of Columbus Council from Baton Rouge. The Knights, of which I am a member, do that across the nation.

My father and I wanted to take the great Pro-Life work the Knights already do to the next level so we formed Knights for Life in Louisiana, with hopes that other state Councils adopt the idea.

Tom, Its quite simple:

First you right click the image you want to display and select properties.

Second highlight the URL address and copy it.

Third paste the URL address with <img src=" immediately in front

and "> immediately behind the URL

for example the first image on this thread: The address is http://cpforlife.org/b0be79b0.jpg put that in between the quotes and the image will appear.

Also do a freep search on HTML code for more related stuff

Thanks for the help. What if the image is not on the internet, but instead is a jpg on your own computer. How would you go about including it in a post.
