Doesn't that figure, blaming Bush for the death of a man they probably disdained when he came out to enlist in the wake of 9/11. Those people will truly use any scrap they can to advance their agenda. We shouldn't even tarnish this good soldiers memory by mentioning leftist trash that dwell on those boards.

It just rips my heart out. Selfless heroes like Pat cut down in the prime of life, while hate-filled, obese slobs like Michael Moore continue spewing their venom while simultaneously inhaling meatball & cheese subs.

I share your sentiment. But it's up to us to win the battle here on the homefront. The Left wants this to be another Vietnam because that was an American defeat. THIS TIME, WE MUST NOT LET THEM WIN HERE ON THE HOMEFRONT. We have our place in this fight. It is on the political front lines, while our Armed Forces fight on the battle lines.

The military service represents various solutions to people's lives. For many it is service and patriotism that drives them, for others it is a second, or third chance to mature and grow and learn. For some it is the chance to complete their education without incurring hugh debt. I believe it does not matter a whit what reason the men/women had when they joined. They all learn in their training what may be asked of them. (This is where they become equal in the eyes of G-d and our nation.) And they all deserve all our support.

I hope this hero (Pat Tillman) galvanizes all our backbones for the job that is at hand. And I hope it galvanizes the spirits of our leaders and they get on with it. (I am opposed to seeking a political solution in Iraq until after the Sunni triangle is in ruins and the people sue for peace.)

Welcome. Everyone of us cannot join the military. But everyone of us does have a job to do in this war. We civilians must fight the battle here on the homefront to keep the Left from doing what they did in the 1960's and early 1970's. Each one of our voices must be raised against the forces who want us to be defeated in this very real world war.

Let's raise our voices to demand answers about the oil-for-food scandal, for example. It's long past time we "average" Americans stopped being the "silent majority."

Jason Kidd, Ray Lewis, Michael Pittman, Jamaal Lewis, Dennis McKinley, Bobby Chouinard, Jason Williams, Rae Caruth, Mike Danton and the list goes on and on and on. Athletes who many of us once thought we knew. But in the end we didn't really know who these people were.

We did know who Pat Tillman was. Make no mistake about that. Tillman never let us down, never would. You could bank on him. He was rare.

Remember this as we celebrate his life - he had no regrets. He was doing exactly what he wanted to do.

And while I don't trust the Cardinals in anything they do football related, I do trust that they will do the right thing when it comes to honoring Tillman. And while naming the new stadium after him would be a nice gesture, it is somewhat unrealistic.

But Pat Tillman Field. That is the right thing to do. That way every time we walk into the new stadium we can remember our hero.

Arizona State University is flying the flag at half-staff today. Tillman was a great Sun Devil. They will also honor him properly. A scholarship in his name would be a great start.

There was nothing fake about Tillman. Nothing. The news is stunning. We knew there was a chance this day could come, but hoped it never would. We thought that somewhere in the future we would be talking about Pat Tillman the Senator or Pat Tillman the President. He was one of those rare people that you just knew would do whatever he set out to. We wish we could be like him. In an era dominated by greed and getting what we can, Tillman stood for something. So as we pray for our soldiers over seas, let's say a special thank you to Pat Tillman.

I disagree with naming the new NFL stadium after Tillman. With the selling of naming rights, you could get something like Tostitos Tillman Field. Not cool.
