[history]
The military records that Sen. John Kerry posted on his Web site yesterday raise new questions about the actions he took to earn several prestigious war medals and whether he deserved them.
The Navy awarded Mr. Kerry three Purple Hearts, a Silver Star and a Bronze Star in just four months of commanding a gunboat along rivers in Vietnam. It's an extraordinary record, say many veterans, and one that raises questions on its face.

I can't believe the Washington Times would question John F'n Kerry's patriotism.

Intelligent, mature and rich in educational background and experience, Ens Kerry is one of the finest young officers I have ever met and without question one of the most promising," wrote Capt. Allen SliferHe forgot "nuanced."

I would hope his medical records don't jive.

Notice the void in the main media about Kerry's records? Yet they scrutinized every dotted i and crossed t in Bush's records.

God, am I behind the times, or what!!! Here I am thinking that purple hearts are reserved for grievous injuries: missing limbs, serious internal injuries, etc. So Kerry arranged to have our government award him medals with George Washington's likeness on them for things that could and probably were fixed up with band-aids. He managed to defile even our first President. God help him. But not right now!!

All of his performance evaluations rated him first or nearly first among his peers, and no evidence suggests he ever missed duty because of illness or injuriesm There was a very interesting post by mindbender26 yesterday concerning the service records. Essentially, he said that service record inflation resulted many getting perfect scores and that anything below a perfect score indictated major problems. Kerry had less than perfect in something like 9 out of 19 categories.

I should hope they don't jive, but they do. These are jive records if I ever heard them. If you are a jive turkey, your records would certainly follow suit.

I can't believe they are parroting the line that his CFRs are good. He was a dud, his ratings prove it, and THAT is why he didn't want to release his records. They only sound good to someone who was not an officer....he was being damned by faint praise, but the press only sees the praise. They really ought to use a FOIA request to get a bunch of comparable CFRs, say PCF boat commanders in Vietnam, and look them over. CFRs were massively inflated...and Kerry's wasn't. There is a great investigative journalism piece here...but no investigative journalist wants to look into it. Stossel?

Beginning to look like throwing his medals (had they been his) over the wall was one of the few honest things Kerry has ever done.

John Kerry's war record simply shows that he is very good at collecting medals. I find it quite significant that none of his "heroic" activities were observed by higher officers, and that he recommended himself for all of them.
To: The Bandit
I'm thinking that he picked shrapnel in the butt, cause that's the ONLY area besides the lower frontal region that people wouldn't be able to see any scarring.
Who's gonna ask: "Let's see your BUTT, Senator Paper-Cut!!"?
