I am loving today.
So pleased with Colin Powell.
His reputation for honesty and fairness
has finally come in most handy.

Hannity has the replay of Powell's interview coming up next!
To: Impeach the Boy
Wasn't the liberal media reporting yesterday that Powell's office said that Powell would not be commenting on this book, trying to make it look like Powell couldn't refute it?

Thanks so much for this thread - because I missesd the interview with Hannity!!!
I usually always listen - but I was busy with other things today and I didn't get to hear it.
To: Carolinamom
Oh good - I just posted that I didn't hear the interview (it's very rare that I don't listen to Hannity - or at least have him on in the background while doing other things) - so I am glad to have the replay!!
To: MasonGal
Replay coming up NEXT! I'm taking notes. LOL

Even before all the news of today, and hearing Colin Powell set the record straight on the 2nd most popular radio show in the land, I had a pretty good feeling after the interview last night, that Bob Woodward would be found to be the liar and Bush basher that he truly is.
Two things stood out for me. The faked out surprise and fake grins and smiles of the interviewer (who's name escapes me at the moment), and the childish attacks to Bush's character and integrity by Woodward himself.

"If Larry King wants to actually make news, he will have Powell call in to Woodward. (Snowball's chance in Hell, I know, but I thought I would put the suggestion out there.)"
LOL. I'm not accustomed to reading rhetorical declarations from you.

The only Woodward talking point Powell wasn't able to address was that Saudi Arabia had a secret pact with the President to lower the oil prices before the election. Powell said he didn't know anything about that. So, that's the only scurrilous allegation left for someone in the Administration to refuteJust heard a Kerry soundbyte on it. His highlighter ran out of ink looking for something to use against Bush.

BTW, Ann Compton then told Jennings that the Bush WH had told everyone there to cooperate with Woodward. Does not exactly comport with "the most secretive WH ever" talking point that had been trotted out before.Which Powell said during his Hannity interview. The media has a theme, Ashcroft, Rove and Cheney are evil, this is the most secretive White House in history and Powell is an innocent bystander. Every single story that comes out from the detractors requires one of these themes. As an example, the early stories last night said Powell was not consulted on the Iraq decision. On the surface that is so obviously wrong since Powell had led the UN effort knowing full well what the stakes were. But the media can't pause long enough to see how absurd their premises are.

I guess you referring to the 60 Minute's interview.
I cannot bear to watch that agenda-driven program.
Absolutely detest that show and the entire crew.
Never seen people so full of themselves as that sorry bunch.
