US Senator John Kerry, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, said on Sunday Israel's killing of Hamas leader Abdel-Aziz al-Rantissi was justified because Israel "has every right in the world to respond to any act of terror against it."
"Hamas is a terrorist, brutal organization," he told NBC's Meet the Press.
"It has had years to make up its mind to take part in a peaceful process. They refuse to ... and I support Israel's efforts to try to separate itself and to try to be secure."

In any case, it means that he outrages the NH-ranter wing of the party.

Can't think of what we could have for Kerry's panders. How about some Pander Bears?

Kerry blew it this time. Just when it appeared he was getting the US and the world's nations together again by saying things like arranging for a solution in Iraq within weeks of taking office by talking to other nations and the UN, he now says in effect that he backs Israel's murduring the "peaceful and righteous militant leader, Rantisi". The rest of the world (ie: France, Germany, new goverment of Spain) are not going to like this!

Do you really believe Kerry DOESN'T think this was a violation of International law? Kerry is just trying to keep the Jewish votes that he knows he could lose to Bush, because of his stance on Israel. Jewish Democrat Ed Koch is completely wrong on almost every issue except his support for the war on terror and he's voting for Bush. He likes the way Bush supports Israel and he likes the way Bush wages war on terror. Those reasons alone are why he will vote for a republican president for the first time in his life. Kerry knows he has a real chance to lose more of the Jewish vote than democrats have in the past. If Kerry wasn't running for president I have a feeling he would have been calling the Rantisi killing a violation of International law. Kerry is a globalist after all.

JFK Decoder Ring switched on:
"US Senator John Kerry...said on Sunday Israel's killing of Hamas leader Abdel-Aziz al-Rantissi was justified...but it really isnt justified."
"Hamas is a terrorist, brutal organization," he told NBC's Meet the Press...but they do have points that I could support. They are, after all, anti-American.

"they won't give credit to a dem even when they agree with him."
I DON'T AGREE WITH HIM!! It's actually pretty easy to disagree with him when I see the true John Effin' Kerry stand up. If you agree with him here, he did exactly what he wanted to you... he got you to believe that he backs Israel here...WRONG!!
You at least take the time to post and read websites and threads such as FR and he got YOU with his horsesh*t!! Just think of what he can spew to uninformed, uneducated people. Hannity says this alot and I love it, one thing I hate most but shows our freedoms and rights is that someone's total idiotic, uninformed vote can cancel out my very well educated, thought through vote.

Finally, one statement from Kerry that makes sense.Yes. It is the only statement of his that I know of with which I agree.

I don't think Kerry will be the nominee.
I am also concerned that someone might get rid of him... perhaps and blame it on islamic terrorists... just to make room for hillary.
Dear Lord, what a depressing thought.

Senator Kerry
looks tired, acts tired, doesn't show up to work in the Senate, takes lots of campaign "vacations," and constantly flip-flops on positions. He's also a Yankee elitist married to a wealthy bride from Africa.
How that translates into winning the heartland states that Gore lost in 2000 is beyond me. It's like the Democrats have picked someone who would "win" only their far-left states.
Could Senator Kerry bow out of the race to let a different Democrat replace him? Possibly, but the news media has invested so much of their remaining credibility in propping JFK up that his replacement would almost certainly do even worse in the states that Bush won back in 2000 (i.e. a sure loser for Dems).
To me, what this means is that 2004 is a sure winner for Republicans. So we need to be working this election such that it harms Democrats in the future, such as by burning their big fat cat donors into wasting lots of money on JFK this year...making them more reluctant to donate large sums in future years when the outcome isn't so obvious.
We also need to give the news media lots of rope...and then figuratively hang them with it. Their comments on being anti-war in Iraq and their anti-Israeli comments are going to drag the press down for years to come. The press is also on the wrong side of the abortion and death penalty debates. Gun control is another area where we can burn the Dems and the press this year. Likewise, their "covering" of JFK's weaknesses (e.g. flip-flops) is going to cost them even more credibility.
But with all of that said, we can't put all of our eggs into an anti-JFK basket. He could easily withdraw to allow another Dem to come into the race fresh.
