Your children may learn that Muslims discovered America
April 16th, 2004
A Native American tribe has forced distributors of an Arab studies guide for American teachers to remove an inaccurate and absurd passage that Muslim explorers preceded Columbus to North America, and eventually became Algonquin chiefs named Abdul-Rahim and Abdallah Ibn Malik!
The Middle East Policy Council, a Washington advocacy group that promotes this curriculum to school districts in 155 U.S. cities have apparently been somewhat unresponsive and dismissive of complaints. Ridiculous as this example is, it is illustrative of a far more disturbing development: the placement of propaganda in our schools by Muslim extremist groups. As the Thomas B. Fordham Foundation pointed out in a report issued this week titled, "The Stealth Curriculum:Manipulating America's History Teachers" these efforts are intended "to use America's public school classrooms to shape the minds of tomorrow's citizens by manipulating what today's teachers introducing into the lessons of today's children"
The American Textbook Council has played a leading role in resisting Arab efforts to supply propaganda to our schools, and recently published a report, "Islam and the Textbooks", by Gilbert T. Sewall, which reports this phenomenon. It can be found here.
These militants and their supporters have set their eyes on our children, and are attempting to brainwash them by supplying free textbooks which whitewash the truth regarding Muslim extremism, while promoting Arab and Palestinian political goals. These "teaching materials" also impugn and devalue America, Western nations, Israel. Judaism, and Christianity. The article, Textbooks for Jihad, found here is a good analysis of these developments .
The Council on American-Islamic Relations, some of whose members have been "outed" as terror supporters, has an active program to supply these this type of propaganda to libraries across the nation. Naturally, like schools, the librarians are more than happy to accept inexpensive, or free, material to fill their shelves. Yet these same books and audio-visual material are filling our children's minds with lies that are tantamount to propaganda that teach hate. Efforts should be made by local activists and PTA or PTO members to scrutinize the reading lists at our "educational" institutions.

The program was a panel of religious leaders in the Jacksonville FL area. One panel member was a Muslim cleric, who stated--in all seriousness--that all religions are united because Jesus Christ himself was a Muslim, as were Moses and Abraham.
What a warped sense of reality. Can't be something that didn't exist at the time.

Well put. I agree with what you say. I think that Columbus's observation of that hull is probably evidence that what you say is true. IIRC, Brazil was discovered accidently while sailing up and down the European-African coast. The necessity of sailors swinging way out into the Atlantic to avoid the turbulent African coast would in itself make the discovery of America more likely. I've been told that there are signs here that Africans, Jews, the Irish and the Welsh, in addition to the Vikings, made it here.

Something even more insidious going on here. According to them, once an Islamic land, always an Islamic land. If the Moe-ham-heads can establish this discovery thought, they then have a legitimate right (to them) to declare the Americas Islamist and do whatever to get rid of the "occupiers". Where have we heard this shiite before?

Yup, the Islamists and the liberals march to the beat of the same drum.

How the hell could Jesus, Moses and Abraham all be Moslems when Islam wasn't even created until the 6th century A.D.!

In the case of Spain, the New World obviously helped Spain become a great power for many years, but they finally did head down hill once the plundering ran its course...The effects of "the first world war" (by which I am referring to the period between 1805 and 1815, often called "The Napoleonic Wars") had as much to do with Spain's downfall as the removal of both Jews and Moslems from Spain. When Spain was overrun by the French, and could not dislodge them without signifigant help from Britain, the sign of weakness displayed by Spain gave the go-ahead to its far-flung colonies that independence could, and more importantly should, be striven for. Since Spain could not protect itself, colonists and indegenes pondered, how could Spain protect them?

Since when have facts been allowed to get in the way of a real screwball cult? Hell, there isn't even any real evidence that Mohammed ever existed except in some screwball's imagination! When you are just making up whatever suits you a timeline is of no concern whatsoever.

LOL. PC vs PC. Muslims vs American Indians. The irony is rich. I can't say that I blame the Indians though, they probably don't feel that they needed discovering.
I'm waiting to get a letter in the mail asking for some kind of reparations - the majority of my family was originally from Spain and most came over in the 1600s. I'm sure that somehow makes me responsible for what they did, and therefore I probably somebody some money or land or something, lol.

But they did!
Evidence abounds that many of these visitors to America were Israelites, Dan being just one tribe among them. A clay tablet found in a rock crevice near Big Bend, Texas, tells of Zoroastrians (followers of Mithraic sun woiship) who came once to America, probably from Iberia. Dr. Henriette Mertz, Professors Cyrus Gordon and Cyclone Covey, and Dr. Robert Stieglitz discovered an immigration to Tennessee and Kentucky of homeless Jews after the many pogroms of Antiochus in Syria and Nero and Hadrian in Rome. Some were here already when, in 69, during the First Revolt of Jerusalem against the Romans, others came over. Flavius Josephus, who himself took part in this revolt, mentions that through the year 69 a great comet hung like a flaming sword over Jerusalem. Some Zealots took it to be the sign of the coming of the promised Messiah and rebelled. Today we know that it was Halleys Comet, making one of its many returns. A stone excavated from a burial mound at Bat Creek in Tennessee tells us that Jews in Tennessee recognized the sign and inscribed the stone The Comet for the Jews. This strongly suggests that Tennessee and Kentucky became havens of refuge for these persecuted Hebrews.

Stop public education? I'd rather have kids in public schools than parents using Jerry Springer as a teaching tool for their 8yr old kids. I have no doubt that you could teach kids properly since you've found your way to this fine forum. A lot of other people I wouldn't trust to give me the correct change at WalMart much less be solely responsible for their childrens' education.

Welsh, actually. It’s a darn shame that the remnants of Prince Mordock’s castle/fortress on the Ohio River were demolished in the late 1800s to provide building materials for Louisville’s “Big Four” bridge.
