Military Weddings - 100 FREE BRIDAL GOWNS - [attention OHIO, WV, PA military brides-to-be]
Beacon Journal (Akron, OHIO) ^ | April 02, 2004

Calling all returning soldiers from Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia and Kosovo and/or their fiances and fiancees.

Henri's Cloud Nine Bridal Shoppe in Minerva, [OHIO] is among 14 independent bridal stores nationwide trying to put finishing touches on some unfinished love stories.

``For brides-to-be and grooms-to-be who have been on active duty, their wedding day has been snatched away,'' insists Henri's owner Meg Kopp Walters.

``We just want to thank them; we are so proud of their service to our country. We're so hoping they can have their special day now that they have returned home... We have watched these men and women put on their fatigues and smiles, and put their lives on hold.

``We want to breathe some joy back into their wedding day.''

Henri's -- like the other participating stores -- is supplying 100 free wedding gowns on April 18 to those people with the proper deployment papers.

For more information, call 330-868-6160.

That is great news! Anyone have a list of all the stores? Because I'm thinking that women who don't have a family member active in the military might want to show their appreciation by shopping at their local store.
