From the closing of the article "Washington Prowler's

Kean Interest"

A few more days of this and the commission's work will be tainted."

Well now, that is just real interesting!

>>Folks, it really time to put the pressure on the Commission as well as the your representatives in Congress!! I heard one of the Commissioners say that if she resigns there would be other resignations. I say good, disband this entire farce!

I 2nd Alissa's motion!!! This is the BIG one. It's time to WRITE EVERY ONE OF YOUR federal representatives!

Here's another one. Gorelick was on the Advisory Committee that recommended a commission on Critical Infrastructure... to which Richard Clarke was appointed as National Coordinator shortly thereafter.
Conflict? What Conflict? /sarcasm
THE WHITE HOUSE
Office of the Press Secretary
For Immediate Release June 6, 1997

PRESIDENT CLINTON NAMES CHAIR AND MEMBERS OF THE ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO THE PRESIDENT'S COMMISSION ON CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE PROTECTION

President Clinton announced his intent to appoint Jamie Gorelick to serve as Chair and Member of the Advisory Committee to the President's Commission on Critical Infrastructure Protection. He also announced his intent to appoint the following four members: Maurice Greenberg; Margaret Greene; Erle Nye; and Floyd Emerson Wicks, to serve as Members of the Advisory Committee to the President's Commission on Critical Infrastructure Protection.

Ms. Jamie S. Gorelick of Chevy Chase, Maryland, currently serves as Vice Chair of Fannie Mae. Ms. Gorelick previously served as Deputy Attorney General at the Department of Justice; in that capacity she was a member of the Steering Committee for the Commission. Ms. Gorelick was also General Counsel for the Department of Defense. Before joining the Clinton Administration, Ms. Gorelick was a partner with the Washington firm of Miller, Cassidy, Larocca & Lewin where she specialized in civil and criminal litigation. Ms. Gorelick holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and is a graduate of the Radcliffe College of Harvard University.

We ought to have learned by now that the demons' plans always go awry because the truth cannot be hidden from the honest citizens who KNOW how it came to be that 9/11 happened.

Some time after 9/11 effingKerry was on Hardball and included TWA 800 in the list of terror attacks against this country.

There was no comment at all from the other panelists or from Matthews.

It is also my understanding that Stuffingupalous also included TWA 800 as a terror attack.

You got it! I also read that she was one of only a few who could access secret documents. So... she gets to acknowledge (or not) those subjects and documents she deems relevant, thereby guiding the direction of the commission. What a sham!

Well then that explains why Kean says the rest of us should just:

"STAY OUT OF THEIR BUSINESS!"

(we might not like HOW they went about discovering the 'truth' of 911)

I'm catching up on this thread... but if you didn't get it already, Rush was reading from this article, I believe.

Gorelick gets around...
From a August 18, 1995 knight-ridder article
Campaign trail takes Specter to craggy outpost called Ruby Ridge
So when Specter insists on Sept. 6 hearings into the FBI’s behavior at Ruby Ridge, cynics yelp about grandstand politics.

I suspect they’re right. Specter’s always had a heat-seeking attraction for TV cameras and publicity. What better way for the ex-Philly DA to juice up his lackluster 1996 campaign than to star in high-voltage drama _ FBI snipers, mountain ambush, top-level coverup?

OK, Arlen’s playing politics. So what? Ruby Ridge has become such a terrible symbol of FBI power run amok, the Senate should take the lid off the scandal. Never mind Specter’s grab for political glitz.

Naturally, Justice Department honchos wish Specter would go away, shake some hands in Iowa or New Hampshire, forget Ruby Ridge.

In a steamingly blunt letter, Deputy Attorney General Jamie Gorelick told Specter his Ruby Ridge probe would “seriously jeopardize criminal prosecutions.”

He was looking at the Committee as if he wanted to hang the lot of them. I noted a great difference in his demeanor from the last time he was testifying.

I did read that.

Grampa dave just pinged me to this:

Caught Red-Handed! A 1995 memo from 9/11 commission member Gorelick

See the post at #81....not sure where it fits in though.

Gorelick is a very key person the way this is going and has quite a HISTORY!.

More Dick Morris Monday morning quarterbacking that's all it is. I'm sorry. If this is a joke then ha ha on me. But this guy is so full of it, and it's amazing Fox still let's him spew his holier than thou, "I know everything going on in the govt even tho i'm not in it anymore" crap!

WRT Allan Colmes comment of "You like pointing fingers, huh?" Ooooh, there's that tough Colmes journalistic prowess again.

Why doesn't Fox fire that guy? He is the more lame of the two on H&C, but only by a hair.

I'm now thinking that Gorelick is covering all the bases for the Clinton Administration. I connected her with Foster via some "Banking" investigation and speculated maybe she was the purveyor of the FBI files. Like Bubba, she is prosecution bent...with the same bent as Clinton...."Lie Like Hell"...even under oath...You can get away with it as long as you're a good liar and don't get caught. Shred like crazy. Destroy anyone who is in your way".

I think Monica is alive only because of a tape and a stained dress"....but Brown and Foster didn't make it.

Gorelick is a very key person the way this is going and has quite a HISTORY!.

She seems to have had her hands in everything, and now believes that she has no conflict of interest, except when it came to questioning of Reno, to who she reported directly. Her intentional withholding of key information (i.e the memo and the fact that she authored it), and her past involvement in security and counterterrorism activities, should require her ousting!

I've tried to read all these Gorelick threads... but its pretty tough! I haven't even had a chance to look in on how my buddie Arnie is doin'! LOL

What amazed me was one of the panel maroons the other day defending Gorelick, saying she was such an expert and so qualified, input, blah blah blah. I told my husband- how on earth could they consider someone who didn't have the basic common sense to see how detrimental the "wall" would be to national security as having anything to contribute to the commission. Her "expert" opinion isn't worth spit- it's pretty obvious national security is and was the last thing on her list of priorities.

Don't you just love the way in Washington, anytime something is broke, they sign on a bunch of never done anything useful in their lives attornies to figure out what went wrong - I mean they don't hire a bunch of intelligence experts, or retired special forces officers, or even automobile mechanics. Just a bunch of inside-the-beltway attorneys.

>> I'm beginning to get a feeling that Gorelick was the Clinton's person "inside" the Justice Department, who would insure that no "investigation" would embarrass them.

>>IMO, Gorelick needs to be the subject of a FULL-BORE FreeRepublic investigation.

I think MANY of the Clinton's #1 department heads were stooges,
especially if the toons thought it would be difficult to
get them approved by congress. It's all the #2 persons
that need the close scrutiny!

GORE-lick needs a FULL-BORE investigation on ALL the
dirty deeds she ever touched or covered up for the Clintons!

And she absolutely HAS to get the hell of the 911 commission
or else the commission needs to be disbanded.
