Sorry for the vanity, but this is information I thought Freepers would like to hear about.
Apparently due to unresolved contractual disputes, the Los Angeles and Chicago affiliates of leftist Air America Radio have pulled the programming from their airwaves and returned to local programming.
I'm hearing this second hand, so if anyone has verifiable information or clarifications, please post them.

OMG that was funny, here's 'my' conspiracy:
George W. Bush allowed 9/11 to happen so that Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, and SUV owners could conquer The French.

I even watch spanish soaps for the arguments sometimes. I watch them for the good looking women. I don't even care what they are saying.

My quote for the day - "I'm shocked, shocked that the big fat idiot is off the air already." Maybe scheduling the big fat idiot against Rush wasn't such a good idea; their potential listeners aren't awake yet even on the East Coast.

Drudge Siren!
After just two weeks on the air, Air America Radio, the fledgling liberal talk-radio network featuring Al Franken and Janeane Garofalo, appears to have encountered serious cash-flow problems. The network was pulled off the air this morning in Chicago and Los Angeles, the network's second- and third-largest markets, because, the owner of both stations said, the network bounced a check and owes him more than $1 million. A charge the network strongly denies...

depressing to turn on WLIB and hear Franken hamming it up with his sideshow slut over a barmitzvah.

So ya think Bush should not waste time campaigning in NY? Wonder if Lib radio will claim to have carried NY for Kerry.

"Air America sang to the tune of Bloodrocks DOA)"Jeez, do you mean there's someone else out there who remembers that song?
Does that knowledge consign us to the category of "Old F*rts"?

The claim this morning was that the LA and Chicago stations were already in or near bankruptcy when they signed with ErrAmerica, and that the EA contract had become entangled in the bankruptcy proceedings.
Possible, I suppose, but realistically, it sounds like bu||$h!t to me.

I admit I listened just now for about 5 minutes. BIG MISTAKE.
O'Franken just said that when you think of the mad, angry attitude coming from GW think of Barbara Bush. Thats where it comes from.
I couldnt believe what I was hearing.
