ATTENTION ALL:
Another Freeper watching Chris Mathews implode in his pre-game show!
Howard Fineman said it's all Condi's fault, that as National Security Director it was her responsibility to put all the info together and inform the president. Then Chris says, all she did was try and be interested in what the president was interested in...sort of like his butler !!
He really said that!!! I sure hope Rush was listening....just imagine if a republican or Sean, or Rush had called a black democrat little more than a "House N-word" That's what it was..that's what Mathews was implying, and believe me, he knew immediately what he said, because he added, "I say that advisably".
Can't wait to see if Chris Mathews takes heat for this!!
BTW....Fineman and Mathews agree that Tenet is safe...that he's a "made man", a la mafia. How's that for another ethnic slur!!

Chris Matthews has never kept his liberal leanings a secret, his former Peace Corps self.
Still I would watch his show at 7p in my area because the man really did have a way of getting through the spin if he was of a mind.
Lately he's been insufferable with his hour with Richard Clarke and those shrewish 9-11 widows, all times, 24/7.
Matthews would like to be the next Tim Russert.
Ain't gonna happen. He'll be lucky to keep his job as he skirts the boundaries already.
Bush's "butler", sheesh.
The libs attempt to bash Condi Rice is so on the wrong track. No one ever said she was perfect, none of us are. but any fool can see that she's a dedicated public servant and a woman with brains.

That's the soft racism the elites practice. Just stand behind one sometime as they:
- harass the counter help as they pick up their overpriced garb at a Chinese laundry
- try to buy an Evian (and a lottery ticket) in a hurry in a Spanish bodega
- have a snit with the Eastern Euro maitre'd at Le Circus
That kind of bigotry is a direct hand-me-down from working lo those many years with Tip O'Neill's cabal...

YOu got that right, Ron.

Matthews acts like Ted Kennedy's houseboy - which is worse? That's a great and very funny comment. May I enhance it just a bit?

We lived in CT for over 40 years and the subtle racism is just as you described, all committed by the self-named 'elites'.
My husband retired at 55 (I'm considerably younger than he is) 6 years ago and moved to South Carolina. You know - where every white person is assumed to be racist?
Interestingly enough, what I have witnessed is the exact polar opposite of the racism I've seen up north. The races treat each other with such dignity and respect - polite, sweet, talking with each other.
It's been an eye opener and pleasing to watch.

I'm thinkin' that Matthews tenure at MSNBC is coming to an end sometime soon and he knows it. He's surrendered any idea of being unbias not that he was credible anytime in the past. I'm thinkin' he is building his resume to work for "Air America" radio, and with his recent comments, he will likely be quite a draw to the far left on the very few radio stations that air "Air America."

Nothing like a racist remark - "like a butler" - insulting to Condi because she is a beautiful intelligent woman of stature and butlers are typically white. He ought to be spanked publically for that digusting remark

The only "heat" he will get is when we quit tuning him in. Change the channel!Judging by the ratings, nobody's watching him now. The way I see it, the only ones watching Hardball are Darrell Hammond and the staff of Saturday Night Live.
To: Peach
It certainly sounds racist. At the very least it is something that could be construed as racist and Dr. Rice deserves a SINCERE and immediate apology.

Last week Bob Kerrey opened Condi's testimony by sanctimoniously telling her "how far she had come in life" like she had crawled right out of the crack den and given up her life of pole dancing and being a welfare queen to join the administration. And now this.
We need the Condi Stare. The white dem boys are outa hand here.

That kind of a remark is outrageous. If said by a conservative of a black serving a Democratic president, the remark would be grounds for a public pillorying that would not let up until the malfactor was hounded from office and/or the public airwaves.
Just once, I'd like to see the black civil rights leaders and feminists stand up and go after the purveyor of such racist anti-feminist remarks. It could even go like this:
We disagree with almost every position that Dr. Rice has taken on matters of public policy. However, we will not stand idlely by while those who disagree with her attempt to demean her. Like her views or not, she is a highly accomplished black woman who has succeded in being appointed to one of the highest positions of responsibility ever held by a black in America. Racism is racism whoever displays it, and demeaning remarks about women are demeaning remarks, whoever makes them. Mr. Matthews should not be fouling the public airwaves at the very least until he publicly and abjectly apologizes for his racist and demeaning remarks!

anyone know email addys so we can register our disgust, dismay, outrage, sadness, etc? Lets all use different adjectives and different life stories. I shall be a 70 year old grannie who is shocked, just shocked, that a young beautiful black sister is so insulted after I marched with MLK for her right to be where she is.

Great comment. My sister visited us a few years back, and was shocked by the friendliness of the residents here in Texas. She's from Oakland, CA...'nuff said.
I became a naturalized Texan about 20 years ago, and have no intentions of ever leaving.
To: Peach
WOW! We need a Freeper Team that starts sending the heads of the networks an email when these morons pull this crap. We need to let them know we are protesting their stations and will start boycotting their sponsors if things don't change.
Only way to deal with these leftists is to hit them in their pocketbooks.
