"Who is this Damned Don idiot?"
I do not know, they all sounded like idiot lunatics from the dark side.

Angle said one of the key points was to tell families that they their loved ones hadn't died in vein and he's determined to see this through. Parallel universe Gregory and Angle live in.

Yes, he's right. We wish for a balanced media, but at time it is overwhelming how bad it truly is.

Good God! What a bunch of pessimistic jackasses. "What is your biggest mistake?" What the hell kind of question is that? Bush is thinking: "My biggest mistake is inviting you to this press conference."

I'm not quite sure we did - LOL!!
Seriously, though - how refreshing to have a REAL President in office, now!!
God Bless George W. Bush!!
To: Monty22
This will sink him. This? Sink? By whom?
His presentation was superb. His weakness in answering the one question about the baseball team will show him as stumbling under the mean attack, but regaining composure and finishing strong. That is what the American people like - an underdog who comes back for the finish.

The very pretty, not beautiful, Norah, said the President was stumped, he was stumped, when asked about his greatest mistake...

I think the President has a challenging job...He's got to sound, and he sincerely is, empathetic to Americans' jitters, while at the same time speaking to us as grown-ups, confident that we're up to the challenges now and ahead.
I think he fulfilled both these aims tonite.

Surprisingly, most of the Cspan callers have been positive...some off the wall dems, one w/a vulgarity that got cut off. The negative callers are primarily women...ugh.
Rebroadcast in 3 hrs. and tomorrow morning about 6am.

You need to add Halliburton into your repertoire, if for no other purpose as to give some variety.
Halliburton
Halliburton!
Halliburton!!
Halliburton!!!
Halliburton!!!!
Halliburton!!!!!
Neo-con, Halliburton. You say these things 'cause your argument's hurtin'!

The question from the NPR guy, Don Gonye, was so perfect, I'm sure the DU types will think it was a setup. In their world, even NPR and the NYTimes display a pro-Bush bias.
But that question did give Bush the perfect "I'm about leadership, the American people can make the political decisions" note to end on.
Horse faced Kerry can now attack the press conference and look like the political hack he is.

That was the strongest, most forceful, Press Conference I have seen by a President in my lifetime, Amen, friend...Amen!
To: Monty22
I just heard Jim Angle from FOX News say ,
"He just drew a bright line in the sand".
I love it!
To: MJY1288
I thought he got stronger as it went on. It was particularly good that he did not apologise for anything. He needed to be strong and on message and it was.

(sarcasm) If only we could have SMOOTH talkin' Clinton back, sheesh...
To: sinkspur
LOL! My thoughts exactly! Some people here need a Waahhhmbulance!

I'm surprised the alphabet soup channels stuck it out til the very end.

Dan Somethingyea is from taxpayer supported NPR. Figures. Still, Bush came back swinging real good to the jerk's question. All in all, a splendid performance by the Prez.

"he looks like he needs a haircut."
Agreed, but imagine if he looked TOO well groomed, the vultures in the audience would probably ask him how HE found time to get a haircut, remember bill clinton & the cristophe haircut!
"He's doing good,..."
He got better as he went along, but those reporters are a bunch of hyenas. All they want him to say is "I'm sorry, I failed, I was wrong!" I have rarely hated the press as much I have during the last 45 minutes.
"...regardless of the flashing tie."
How can people be permitted to go on tv with ties like that! Where were the fashion police? Solid colors people, no stripes on the tube!
