The results. Bush is asked why he failed. Bush did not give a justifiable position. This will sink him. Oh, PALEASSEE....with whom???
To: Monty22
The result is that Kerry can't hold a candle to Bush and it's going to be a mild landslide come november. Deal with it.

Like I said it is what you do with the downs in your life that garners respect.
If you want to discuss outsourcing that is for an other thread, and you know it. Your agenda belongs elsewhere, and because it does you made people mad here(a discussion of the Presidents speach not outsourcing and your whining). Then you take our anger for you misplaced argument and plant it elsewhere to support your agenda. Sorry you have gained nothing but my contempt for trying to twist this situation to your advantage.
Try going to the treads that have discussed outsourcing in the past....oh but that would not fit your agenda so nicely.

My father declared the media out of touch with the rest of us years ago. I think it was when President Nixon gave a 5 minute speech and they spent the next 45 minutes telling us what the President just said.

Better answer to NPR Don, "I keep using the same words in my answers because you so-called journalists keep asking the same questions! (Big time.)"

I think his press conference could be summed up with that bumper sticker about "Kickin' Ass to protect your freedom whether or not you like it"---okay, it's not that long or it wouldn't fit on a bumper sticker but I can't remember what it actually says. LOL

When you compare him to Clinton and the kids, how did we survive those 8 years.......
To: You Dirty Rats
Re: No questions about the economy -- that would have been more helpful to Bush, but of course 90% of the media is against him and won't tee him up for a homer like that. Even Fox News'/O'Reilly preview figured that out.

I think so too JL. We're in the minority...
Excellent speech, average to poor delivery. Please, please, please, Karen Hughes, start having the President practice his delivery in front of a camera, and play it back to him. Although most of the speech was delivered well, there were times when it was choppy, and worse a few moments where he sounded hesitant and lacking spirit, which came across as weak, in a Carter way. Some of the body language was not as resolute as the text.
All in all a good speech and probably fairly effective, but he only got a double out of what was the perfect situation for a homerun.
However, HE TOTALLY KICKED BUTT ON THE Q&A. Let's say he stole both 3rd and home plate.

The only thing I can fault with our President it that he always says he told the parents of the soldiers he would not let them die in vain....but in the reserve units, most are parents. I just find this terminology troubling.
Otherwise, he did great!
