Hey Rocket, how does this Dr Baker fit in to this? I ask because I think this is a friend of my mothers.
To: threat matrix; All
Victor Davis Hanson made a rather prophetic point in his most recent column at
National Review".... I suppose we are witnessing a sort of American pop version of the French revolution journalists and politicians on the barricades and guillotines constantly searching for an ever-expanding array of targets, their only consistency blind and mindless fury at the old regime."
Add to that Leftist organizations, the spoon-fed mobs, and their defenders (eh, graf008?). It begins figuratively at first... the threats and mild violence dismissed as mis-directed passions masking a slow escalation of intimidation and force. All the while, one is urged to look beyond the decline to barbarism, to understand the source of division and derision.... to grasp the point. But there is no point, beyond the Barbarism for that is where the debates, the converstations, any commmonality between Men and beasts ends. The Left is assembling their galloes and guillotines in the open, arming their radicals, shaking the cages, dispensing the fuel of violence; the hatred. And all the while they prepare for slaughter, they ask the men of reason to understand their rage.
No! We do not!
No! You will not!
No! There is no longer any place for you here.
In a civilization that rejects the initiation of violence, you will sever any rights that you have, the minute you pick up that sword... the right to speak, the right to assemble, the right to freedom, and the right to live.

BCRA rules here:
http://www.fec.gov/pages/bcra/bcra_update.htm FEC Home > FEC Services > Help with the Campaign Finance Law 1-800 Line
The Federal Election Commission's toll-free information line is central to the agency's outreach and assistance program. Individuals throughout the country can speak anonymously with staff in the Information Division, who provide information on the law and its requirements. Public Affairs Specialists answer thousands of questions each year from political committees, candidates and members of the public, often providing research assistance as well. If you have a question about the law, or would like to request any FEC publications or forms, call 1-800-424-9530, and press 1, then 3, or call 202/694-1100.

Ahh, the things one learns on FR --
"Three esses" --- "Shoot, shovel, and shut up" ---what you do when a member of an "endangered species" enters your property to try to eat your family members and/or your livestock.

Just called the FL Democratic Party. They are in complete denial. It's not them... they're not associated with these people...they are not chartered by them, etc.
I told them I was looking at their charter on the website. No response. I asked why they want to see this man dead. She hung up on me.
Gee, I was also hung up on today by the 9/11 commission. I guess what they say about redhead tempers is true. These people can't face the fire.

She lists the St. Petersburg Democratic Club (the sponsor of this hit-piece ad) as one of her "Community Involvement" activities on her on-line resume.

good call. Thanks for calling.
I think we're better off trying to embarrass their campaign by forcing them to give this money to fallen soldiers, the war effort, etc.

Just called Federal Elections Commission - they say to call the Justice Department and the FBI (don't call, they've been flooded). Election law does not allow them to get into "content" of an ad. However, they are checking into this ad, who placed it, and specifically who paid for it to see if there are any violations.

I spoke with an information division officer. She stated she had not heard of the coordination allegation yet. Complaints to be followed up must be submitted in writting and notarized. www.fec.gov has the forms.

I tell my Dem friends that the Dem Party has become something entirely different from what it was earlier in this century.

And that is why I can no longer call any Democrats friend.

To: tort_feasor
11 CFR Part 109, Subpart C Coordination
11 CFR 109.20 What Does Coordinated Mean? Congress did not define the term coordinated in FECA or in BCRA, but it did provide that an expenditure is considered to be a contribution to a candidate when it is made by any person in cooperation, consultation, or concert, with, or at the request or suggestion of, that candidate, the authorized committee of that candidate, or their agents. 2 U.S.C. 441a(a)(7)(B)(i). Similarly, in BCRA, Congress added a new paragraph to section 441a(a)(7)(B) to require that expenditures made by any person (other than a candidate or candidates authorized committee) in cooperation, consultation, or concert, with, or at the request or suggestion of, a national, State, or local committee of a political party shall be considered to be contributions made to such party committee. 2 U.S.C. 441a(a)(7)(B)(ii). Also, as explained above, an expenditure is not independent if it is made in cooperation, consultation, or concert, with, or at the request or suggestion of, a candidate, authorized committee, or a political party committee. See 11 CFR 100.16.
