Barbara (L) and Jenna Bush, the daughters of U.S. President George W Bush, walk together from the Darnall Army Community Hospital in Fort Hood, Texas, April 11, 2004 after President Bush (news - web sites) and members of his family visited with soldiers wounded in Iraq (news - web sites). Bush awarded 10 purple hearts to troops recovering in the hospital, after attending an Easter Sunday Church service at a chapel within the army base in central Texas.

There is a time and a place for nearly everything, but this was not the time or the place for those clothes.

none of which the president's daughters have...
Cheney's daughter is a lesbian, shouldn't he have been able to stop that as well?
Sheesh you guys, get a life.

I see you are not a father of a daughter or a piss poor father of a daughter. You seem to not know the importance of my comments.

I would think that Barbara has more trouble at Yale than Jenna does at Texas, since nearly everyone at Yale is a rabid liberal, while at least some students at Texas are conservative.Hahahahaha! I think there's a law that UT and conservative can't be used in the same sentence. UT is the Berkeley of Texas. It seems Austin didn't get the memo that hippies are so last century. With the possible exception of Jenna, you can expect a Kerry turnout come November. The last time I was on campus they had wacko Islamafreaks handing out literature and spouting trash in front of the bookstore.

Sensible Shoes ...
hah!
These cuties will have plenty of time for sensible shoes later. I don't regret a second of the time I spent in glamous high heels.
I just wish I could still do it!

"You talk about class and then loosely throw around the words sluts and whores in talking about others."
By statement was: "Not all girls dress like sluts and it is up to the parents to raise their daughters to dress like young ladies instead of whores." and I stand by it.
Not all girls dress like sluts, but too many do in this day and age. I think that is an accurate statement.
I do think that it is the duty of parents to raise their daughters so that their daughters do not dress like cheap whores.
I did not call anyone either a slut or a whore and I certainly did not call the lovely Barbara or Jenna either a slut or a whore.
If you would rather pretend like there are no sluts or whores in the world we live in or that many young women these days dress in ways that make them look like sluts or whores, then you are welcome to live in your make believe world and I will continue to live in the real world where there are real problems.

Be careful what you ask for!
Photos of the people who are so quick to jump on others for various aspects of their dress or appearance might be something we wouldn't want to see.

It was a cold, nasty day in Texas yesterday.
I couldn't wear my Easter dress.
And I've worn it for the last ten years!

I have no letter from Bush, but I have no problems either.

You are trying to walk on dangerous water.
Every time I've made some sort of smug statement as to how great my kids are in relationship to others, I've had a rather rude awakening.
But, good luck.

"Tattoos, nose rings, tongue studs, hip hugger pants, and bared midriffs are also in" ...
I'm sorry, i didn't see the Easter pics of the Presidents daughters dressed like that. do you have the link to those pics? you know the ones of "whores and sluts" as you referred to earlier.
a denim jacket over a white Cotton dress is Conservative and cute, a long sweater over a spaghetti strap mid-lenght dress is Conservative and smart. ...the shoes...well ... youthful indescetion...
