Barbara (L) and Jenna Bush, the daughters of U.S. President George W Bush, walk together from the Darnall Army Community Hospital in Fort Hood, Texas, April 11, 2004 after President Bush (news - web sites) and members of his family visited with soldiers wounded in Iraq (news - web sites). Bush awarded 10 purple hearts to troops recovering in the hospital, after attending an Easter Sunday Church service at a chapel within the army base in central Texas.

Barbara (daughter) appears to have lost a significant amount of weight. Frankly, I think they look fine.

No kidding. She has gotten quite thin, but it doesn't show in her face at all. She must be starving herself to present a public figure. I feel bad for her.

You talk about class and then loosely throw around the words sluts and whores in talking about others. Your comments reveal more about you than about your intended targets. I would much rather spend Easter Sunday with someone wearing a jean jacket than an arrogant man who has little discretion in trashing others. Your words make a jean jacket look classy.

Adrenal and thyroid disorders run in her family. She shouldn't be messing with her metabolism.

Like it or not, what they are wearing is considered fashionable for young women their age.We have that same problem here at our house; it seems to be only the "single" ones though. :-)
And I got a letter from President Bush!

"little control over their college age children."
The golden rule. He who pays the gold, sets the rules.
I have a daughter who is a junior at Rice. She dresses demurely, behaves like a perfect young lady, and is getting excellent grades while majoring in Chemical Engineering.
The secret to having well behaved teenagers is to develop a good report with them while they are still young.
My daughter was home schooled from the third grade until she began attending community college full time at the age of fifteen.

The goal was to lift the spirits of young wounded soldiers. When I was at Hood, nothing lifted my spirits more than young women in sphagetti strapped spring dresses.
I think a poll of the guys in sick bay would be overwhelmingly supportive of their appearance. But then again, I'm an old fashioned guy who celebrates the "diversity" between men and women.

Do they really? With whom?
I couldn't even speculate about any medical issues she has. I just see a pretty young woman who's probably been considered chubby her whole life and who has apparently put herself on a very strict diet to keep her weight down, and her face still looks the way it did before.

I wore khaki pants, an oxford button down shirt, and a blue blazer to church yesterday, if that sets your mind at rest. So this is you!
BTW, I hate that outfit SHE has on!

Media: "So what did you think of the Bush daughters visit?"
Injured solider: "Well, they were very kind but their outfits werent sensible. The color was all wrong for Jenna and Barbara's jacket is so last fall..."

Ironworks Barbecue - Wow, I haven't been to Austin in about 5 years. That place has the best lunch combo platter ever.

"The spaghetti strap dress is HALF covered by a sweater"
I am in Texas too, Houston to be exact, so I know what the weather was like. It was probably cooler up in Waco than it was down here and you are probably right about not having anything else handy besides the jean jacket, but that still doesn't change the fact that those pictures do not make a good fashion statement for the President's daughters.

She looks like a cat lady. You know, like she's got, or would have if left unchecked, about 60 cats living with her in a stinky house.

Tattoos, nose rings, tongue studs, hip hugger pants, and bared midriffs are also in. That does not mean that the President's daughters ought to be wearing such in fashions to church and to visit wounded soldiers.

Great minds think alike!
You got me.

"She dresses demurely, behaves like a perfect young lady, and is getting excellent grades while majoring in Chemical Engineering."
well, good for you. My daughter has a 3.0 in high school, is a highly moral young gal, and a firm Bush supporter. She would look very much like these gals when she goes to church(perhaps with the exception of the spaghetti straps), as do her peers, and I think they look fine.
I think we need to lay off the Bush girls. Their parents have been either in the State House in Austin or in Washington for over 10 YEARS NOW. I think they turned out pretty well considering their parents have been busy either running one of the largest states in the union, or the whole country itself. Get a grip, Freepers.

Not only does "Teraayza" hold the purse strings in the family, her other job seems to be to carry the bible in gratuitous media photo ops.
