As far as I can tell, most people think that the dresses are ok. And you are quite right; the most important points are that 1. They went to church and, 2. they visited the wounded.

Barbara's dress looks fine, so far as one can tell. It is her topping off that dress with an old jeans jacket that I question.

Jenna's dress is pretty and she looks good in it, but it is not the sort of dress one expects to see at Easter services.

The sweater that Jenna is wearing is hideous, IMHO.

as I said later on this thread, mom and dad have been largely absent over the last several years running one our our largest states, and the country.

I think, all things considered, the girls turned out alright. You have to know that every frat boy and high school jerk has been trying to get these two drunk, and nailed, for the last several years. I'm glad they look normal, and not all punk'd out...

Then I suggest you do your own survey. A long and personal, one-on-one survey with a number of men, if you are able to get some fellas to open up and really share with you what it's like to be a guy in this generation of scantily-dressed women where pornography is available almost everywhere, where just walking through the supermarket can be a landslide experience, between the female customers and the magazine racks ... . If you sincerely did some research on this with an open mind, I do not think you'd be incredulous about what I write. This is not the type of survey you could finish with a few quick questions here and there. This is heart-renching stuff. There are a lot of people who won't open up and talk about it unless they've decided to get help to overcome their responses to all the stimuli.

And as I said, I'm talking about ordinary, not sex criminals, males.

You are implying that the way the girls were dressed for Easter services were trashy and inappropriate. The girls were covered up, yes it was windy so a gust of wind makes it hard to be 100% modest, I lived in Hawaii and even wearing a muumuu to church it was hard to control the gusts of wind exposing more than what was wanted.

However your comments are over the top and makes it seem that the real problem is with your thoughts and what the images of the way they were dressed brought to your mind. Maybe your thoughts weren't of the fatherly kind. I read you statements that you are implying that they were dressed like whores. Therefore you are implying that the President and Mrs. Bush failed at teaching their children how to dress like ladies. Of course your definition may be different from most of the rest of us.

She was going to be wearing this dress ALL .. not just at church.

Since Texas is usually warm this time of year .. I can see someone wearing a type of sun dress.

And if you'll notice .. she is wearing a sweater .. the sweater may be ugly for your taste .. but the fact remains .. she is covered up
