Barbara (L) and Jenna Bush, the daughters of U.S. President George W Bush, walk together from the Darnall Army Community Hospital in Fort Hood, Texas, April 11, 2004 after President Bush (news - web sites) and members of his family visited with soldiers wounded in Iraq (news - web sites). Bush awarded 10 purple hearts to troops recovering in the hospital, after attending an Easter Sunday Church service at a chapel within the army base in central Texas.

I remember a cartoon young female with a polka dot dress. I just can't remember who it was.

The characters name is "Little Dot".

She was in her own series of comuic books by "Harvey Comics".

Harvey Comics is the same comcis that gave us Casper the Ghost comics, Dot, little lotta, richie rich, etc.

I have no doubt that what you say is true. I think the answer may lie with some sort of aversion theraphy combined with learning the true Biblical view of sex in the proper context.

Is it just me or is there an uncanny resemblance between Bill and beau?

Thanks so much, lowbridge! I remember her now, and Little Lotta too! Jigs and Maggie was a favorite at our house when I was a girl, along with Dagwood and Blondie and others.

The absolute best help, and the only CURE I've seen, is Theophostic ministry, http://www.theophostic.com . It totally and forever delivers people from all sorts of addictions instantaneously, but one root at a time. People who are born again, who know the Word of God, who are preached at continuously without finding the way "out," are sick to death of not being able to overcome sin. Theophostic, developed by a pastor / counselor, Dr. Ed Smith, actually sets people free from decades of torment, sin, fear, PTSD, etc. It is beyond amazing, and the credit goes entirely to the Lord Jesus Christ, who made a show openly of Satan at the cross but through this ministry, delivers the goods directly into the heart, life, thoughts and actions of the believer.

I hope there are a lot of guys reading this thread who get to that web site link and check it out. They offer a free introductory tape that explains how Theophostic ("God's Light") works, and there is a lot of info on their web site.

I'm still waiting for Hildy's definition of "snootie". Particularly after her defense of Chelsea. But I'll be guessing I'm not going to get it tonight. Even though it's early on her west coast thingy.

And YES! May God again set the truth into His body, "the true Biblical view of sex in the proper context." Amen and amen!

Have you read John Adams by David McCullough? President Adams waited a very long time, while passionately in love, to marry his dear Abigail ... years and years, and his confession in his maturity (poorly paraphrased) was that there was no mother or daughter who needed to be ashamed at seeing him, there need be no fears in his children that they might find an illegitimate sibling somewhere ... it's an inspiring passage. Wish I could quote it properly.

Underpants may be optional if one is in bed, married and with one's spouse. Single, maiden girls {my daughters prior to marriage} were encouraged to maintain underpants on in sleep as you never knew when a fire would occur. My mother and grandmother always wore them to bed just in case of fire. If one is in ill health and liable to be taken to the hospital, one wears underpants at all times, always clean and in good repair. If one is near death, underpants are mandatory. Afterwards, optional although recommended in the deep south. Eastern women rarely wear them in death

Cajungirl, i see a bestseller in your future!! these rules MUST be written up and published with a catchy title and lots of photos. you will make a MINT!!!

okay, cajungirl, be sure to get this bit o wisdom from gdc for your book, and make sure it is for attribution! ; )

and to add my bit to the underwear thing, I went "commando" for years thinking I was a stud, then I was in a bad car wreak. interesting to have a nurse tell my then girlfriend (now wife) to bring a pair of underwear to the hospital. never went without again! LOL

In the South, they have been passe for years. Read it and weep, Oh Demetrius.

Yet another point to consider when I ask myself why I continue to live in this wretched state, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

i don't know that it can be segmented in that way. it was sort of the entire flow of the thread that was hilarious. you had the Troll, Demetrius, expounding on how inappropriate the Bush twins attire was for church or visiting troops (i can guess your views on that one). Then we had Cajungirl give the definitive word on panties, wearing them or not- where/when/how (i think she has the makings of a bestseller if she could just pull them all together in her inimitable style). Xenalyte piped up with the hose with open-toed sandals rule, which was thoroughly dissected by women from various parts of the country. Throughout the troll would steadfastly trash the Bush twins attire as inappropriate. Miss Marple was sure that the troll was a retread of ChrisM (steadfast defender of the oh so hideous chelsea), and deport unmasked the troll as a fraud, based on the pic he posted of his supposed daughter. The mods, instead of just answering the query, was this ChrisM reincarnate, yanked the dang troll and disappointed everyone. that is about the best i can do to synopsize. everyone that was on the thread was a riot, though, and i thank them for their participation, it was a great thread.
