WHEN is ENOUGH gonna be ENOUGH this is a battle of good and evil

It is obvious that this country will never unite together even when there is a man in the Whitehouse that is trying to keep AMERICA safe. George Bush's biggest mistake besides some of the liberal spending social programs is not getting rid of the Clinton kenite(evil sons of Caan) left over's. We are fighting our very own war of good and evil right here on the US soil the democratic liberal party are truly our biggest threat to our own safety, Americans(conservatives, christians etc etc etc) need to wake up and reach out to everyone they know and make this clear that these people are not our friends not concerned about our safety and have truly become evil these ppl. must be defeated. The comments of Senators like Biden that we need to turn control over to the UN should simply tell you where this party is headed and our country if we allow them to have control. The fact that I can watch a 911 commission try and blame this terrorist World uprising on a man that had the reins for 8 months and not hear one word of crtizism or blame on who had the reins for 8yrs. tells you where were headed. Wake up Freepers and get the word out even if you dont like alot of what Bush has done with the liberal programs and spending we can not allow a Democrat back into to power for along time to come with the times we now live in. We are in this mess because of lack of their understanding of the true evil that is trying to destroy us and it's gonna take a MAN of GOD to understand that.

I fear it will not be much longer.
How long do you figure?

I'm thinking fall-winter 2008-09

My guess? It'll be event driven, following a period of escalation by either side that's already begun. That Fall-Winter 2008-'09 estimate could be spot-on if the results of the '08 election are sufficiently disappointing to either side, or if there's an economic crisis in the intirim. Another terrorist attack with casualties in the thousands could do it too. That's the long view.

On the shorter side of things, it could begin in about 154 days.

We are "in this mess" because our true reason for being in Iraq was, and still is, politically impossible to admit.

We ~had to have~ a permanent military base in the middle east, and Iraq was the obvious choice. -- And we will stay in Iraq until the Middle East crisis is resolved, regardless of the 'party' in power in DC. -- Bet on it.

Right now the crats are making political hay by loudly opposing the Bush policies.

-- If elected, their tune will change, some new 'crisis' will emerge and they will change their policy, and find that we must keep our bases in Iraq.. --- Nothing will change but the talking points on why we are there.
We are in the middle east to supposedly prevent a WWIII..
Lets hope the strategy works.

It's hard for me to imagine that you really think this crat opposition is any more than politics as usual.

The powers that be, those who control the Democratic party, -- are the same as those that control the GOP..

We are commited to a national policy of bases in Iraq. -- That ~is~ the 'mission'.
And we won't see the end of that mission until the Islamic radicals give up.

Clinton allowed Bin Laden the freedom to use his billions grow a massive terror structure that may cost us a trillion to defeat.
Laden declared war on us and when Clinton had in hand he let him go to kill Lord knows how many tens or hundreds of thousands of innocents around the whole world.

Carter then has the nerve to come out and open up his pathetic stupid pie hole. For heaven's sake, he had no gonads to handle terrorists in Iran and he had hostages held all his administration. This is the last F'ing loser that should ever open his mouth about anything. Carter is an idiot and Clinton was the worst President ever.

It kind of reminds me of how it must have been prior to the civil war in this country. Houses divided, son against father, brother against brother etc. This Country is definately divided and headed into another civil war. It is amazing though that again the Party of Lincoln is on the right side.

"Carter then has the nerve to come out and open up his pathetic stupid pie hole."

Along the lines of this thread I just had a frustrating conversation with a relative. Carter came up and it was like pulling teeth just to explain the concept that it is improper for an ex-President to criticize a sitting one as Carter has done and continues to do (to his shame).

The response was that Carter, too, "has a right to his 'voice'" and blah blah blah.

Carter was and is pathetic. He should have stuck with farming and peeing on runways with his ex-brother Billy.

I agree with and support the 'mission'

What I can't believe is that the Democrats Quislings support anything other than lust for power, followed by dereliction of duty (re: Constitution) followed by U.N control...followed by inevitable anarchy.

You are confusing the radical 'quislings' with the real DC power structure. They control the radicals of both parties.
-- As I said. Bet on it.. We are in Iraq for the long haul.
-- And, - it is entirely possible we will abandon Iraqi politics to the locals & let them kill each other off, while we sit in our bases.

It is is politically impossible to admit that fact to the american public.

... if does come to armed confrontation I hope to live long enough to see it.

If it does come to that ( I think it will eventually, but I have no idea how long), and if it comes while I'm still alive, I hope I can still run fast and jump high and see well at that time. I'd hate to have to sit it out on the sidelines and let the younger generation correct what mine screwed up by themselves.

My liberal co-worker hated it when 9-11 hapened, because it took so much ammo away from his liberal talking points. I remember there were several days where the liberals sparred among themselves to decide what should be the "intelligencia" position. They finally decided that we should unite against the evil of 9-11 but at the same time try to understand what it was we were doing that could make them hate us so much. (Remember, no real revenge, just self reflection.)

After a period, he went back to total liberal, opposed to war, and the Iraq war in particular, opposed to Israel, opposed to a strong military, and pro attempts to negotiate and appease the Islam radicals.

He still recognizes that we can no longer take the position that "we have no enemies" out there. And thus we can support the military again.

Well, at least with the last line, there is a grain of hope it seems. One person that I'm glad that sees reality, at least on this big issue is Ed Koch, former mayor of New York. We might disagree a lot on many matters but at least he "gets it" on the War on Terrorism and related issues.

Whether as a result of Clinton's tenure, or just that he was in office during the the period that it happened (the division), or both, I don't know.

The division had already existed. We can thank the internet for illuminating it. The war between "good" and "evil" is "perpetual," it will never be over. It is never won. Freedom is not passed from generation to generation in the genes (Paraphrasing Lincoln, I think).

Well I'd like to meet a conserative man, get married and have as many brain washed infants as I possibly can. That will be contribution to the war effort. Either that, or move to some undisclosed location in the Caribbean or South Pacific.

I hear ya, except in my case, change man to woman. B-) Yeah, I think knocking out as "many brain washed infants" is part of the long term plan, liberals frown upon having many kids so we can outpopulate them. B-)

True, but we've grown old, tired and gray..
Our brothers are eternally young and strong -- in our mind...
We can only see them that way, the way they were...

I often wonder if we will be welcomed, when once again we rendezvous...or have they formed new friendships in our absence..

I am starting to believe that John Edwards is right...there are two Americas. However, there is a conservative America and liberal America. It comes down to core beliefs and the stark difference between relativism on one side and foundational truths on the other will continue to severely fracture this country until something changes.

I, along with many others, thought 9/11 might be the catalyst for bringing it together. However, there are forces, both foreign and domestic seeking to permanently fracture this country.

It is sad. With the media's help, it almost feels overwhelming. HOWEVER, this doesn't mean with lay in the fetal position and give up. This means we MUST, NOW NOT LATER, stand up, make our voices heard, and GET INVOLVED in the fight for this country. THE TIME IS NOW!

Actually, I think enough people see the reality that the Libs will be out of power for maybe a generation. Unfortunately, the pubbies don't use power well enough to make the left go away forever, but its already getting hard to find anyone who is a liberal without any buts. Soon no liberal will even remember voting for Clinton, who will go down in history as the president who presided over the death of his party.

Bush will make gains in every liberal constituant group. However he may lose some of his base to do so. He won't lose me, I dispair over some of his policies, but I believe he understands the nature of this war, and we need him in office for good to survive.
