VANITY: I'll Make an FR Donation for Everyone Who Pledges to Boycott MSNBC

I've been driven to post my first vanity by the out and out disgusting behavior of Chris Matthews and Don Imus. Matthews gave full rein today to 4 9/11 widows spouting conspiracy theories...he even said that VP Cheney should be given sodium pentathol before his Commission testimony. Imus has become unwatchable. He has gone far beyond humor in his insults of President Bush - far beyond.
So, here's the deal... the only way we can hurt MSNBC's ratings is by boycotting them ourselves. I'm willing to donate 25 cents to FR for every boycott pledgee on this thread - my maximum is $50, but so is my minimum!
I'm hoping that others might be willing to match my donations. How about it guys? I would love to wake up in the morning and find at least a hundred pledges.

Why would I assume? Cuz I'd asked a couple of times and you avoided it.

Yeah, that's great. Did you enjoy teaching kids that young? I have worked in classrooms with kids that young and it was really unrewarding. I suppose I like teaching older kids. I like being able to have smart discussions with the kids. I don't like herding cats.
The kids have changed. When did you retire?

Oh, you really are dense.
Are you this rude in person? Or are you just under the illusion that crass behavior is acceptable online?

Get over it. Why don't you just email Rush and ask him if he thinks Baby Boomers suck for the most part?
To: Brad's Gramma
Wow....
You think you know who I am, but I have you totally figured out!!

Wow, pedantic and self righteous. Yup, I got you pinned. A real school marm, ay?

Count me in. I haven't watched them in a couple of years already.
Chris Matthews drives me up the wall and I emailed him to tell him so.

Well, I can say that I'll boycott them but I don't think it is a boycott to say I won't do what I don't do anyway. MSNBC doesn't exist as far as I'm concerned and hasn't for years.

Wow, you guys are some real twisted sisters. I feel like I just moved into a town and the women who always look like they smell something bad don't like me. It's cool, I'll survive.

Another Boomer checking in to take exception to what you have said about us. Yes, too many of our generation have really screwed up. I must grant you that. But don't be so eager to throw out the baby with the bath water.
You yourself said that the jerks are in the minority of our generation:
Reagan believed so. He believed the vocal minority of the Baby Boomer generation were the worst citizens this country ever produced. [That's from #189.]

Everybody on this thread willfully misinterpreted what I said. The Baby Boomer Generation is the worst generation in American History-- that's just a fact.
I think there are a lot of swell Baby Boomers. Unfortunately, they are overpowered by their outspoken, shameless peers.

To get the thread back on topic .....
I watched Chrissy the night that algore finally conceded after the nightmare of the post-election recounts and legal shenanigans. Chrissy literally had tears running down his cheeks as he praised algore for that speech. He said that if the wooden one had made campaign speeches like that concession speech, he would have won handily ... that it was the best speech he had ever heard. GAG!
I have never watched him since and his show was the only one I ever watched on MSNBS.
Boycott is already in effect so throw another quarter in the pot.

Um, I feel guilty for taking your money, but, I'll do it! Hey, by the way, would you like to invest in a potentially lucrative music project? Heh heh. Anyway, I hate MSPMSNBCABCCBSBSBSBS. Thank you.

I tell you , we are dealing with the baby boomers of the 1960s and their wannabes. The Baby Boomers = America's Worst Generation!!!
They need to die off and with them their anit-americanism needs to go to.
Sweetie ~~~ if you're going to do documentaries and writing, you need to learn that words have meaning. You didn't qualify your statements by saying that SOME of the Boomer generation need to go. The antecedent of your pronoun 'they' is 'The Baby Boomers' ... you called ALL of us anti-American and wished we'd all die off. Your words were very plain and there was no misinterpretation, wilfull or otherwise. You are obviously saying now that you didn't mean what you said so perhaps you mis-spoke rather than we misinterpreted.

Chill. Wow, you people have your own personal diamond mines. Clearly, I don't include Tommy Franks in that. Clearly, I don't include everyone. Perhaps, I wasn't so careful because what I am saying has become CW on the Right. See the Enemy Within and the Savage Nation, RDDBs, Rush's anti-Boomer screeds, John Wayne, Ronald Reagan. Everybody knows the Hippie Boomers are dragging the country down. Everybody knows that the Baby Boom Generation has been ,fairly or unfairly, defined by that segment.
I mean no disrespect to the people who didn't spit on the flag back then, but unfortunately they define you. Like the beasts in Fallujah define Fallujah.
