I ran thru search and didn't see anything.
Dan Rather should be ashamed; we should let CBS know how we feel.

That old fool won't hear a word of this - he's insulated by the glass womb of his broadcast building, which teems with like-minded elitests. The best thing he could do for America is drop dead - live, on air - in the middle of his newscast. Man, I'd actually tune in for that. In fact, I'd probably invite a few people over, put together a meat and cheese platter, set up a keg of beer, and have the VCR recording, too. Make a party out of it. LOL :-)

"For CBS News, I'm Dan Rather.........."*ACK* *THUMP*

I absolutely (for many years now) refuse to watch Dan Rather at anytime. He is representative of the very worst in modern day journalism. Apparantly I am not alone, as CBS News has as I understand it, endured a lot of ratings problems in recent years.
One day they may figure out over at CBS that the very people who are actually interested in the news, are not going to watch a pathetic excuse for a reporter such as Rather.
It seems to me that Rather is more of a propaganda stooge for the liberal elitists, and the only ones who take note of him are among the most very ignorant in our society.

Like many other Americans, I stopped watching your broadcast some time agoIf you had any hope ol' Blather or any of his minions would read it, I'm willing to bet no one made it past that point.

When I first heard about Rather saying this, I could not believe the sheer stupidity of it. This article sums it up nicely, people who do these jobs are not forced in any way. This is what they want to do. This is just the latest coming out of the rats den of CBS.

I guess Dan and all of his cohorts in the media who went to Iraq could also be called mercenaries. By his definition, they are. They went into a war zone and were paid by for profit corporations.

Dan Rather, spitting upon the dead in the name of Democrat partisanship. Who woulda thunk it?
I wish I could say with a straight face he is one of the last of the old hardline commies and good riddance, but I know there are plenty more coming up behind him.

Good post.
If for no other reason than to see Rather collapse in a jealous rage, I'd like to see Brokaw win a Senate seat.
Up until a couple of years ago, Don Imus periodically had him on the program and he was almost human. But now Imus has nothing but disdain for "Mr. Courage."

I'm so glad these guys wrote this. Dan is lower than whale poop.

Dan Rather doesn't have a clue as to what the war in Iraq is all about.
To say that Americans are working in Iraq because the American economy is weak is about the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
FIRST: These men are being paid by American companies operating in the American economy.
SECOND: The American Economy is not weak, and unemployment is lower than the 30 year average.
THIRDLY: Rather still hasn't snapped to the fact that the reason we are fighting terrorists in Iraq is so we don't have to fight them in New York. If we pull out of Iraq, CBS will have to employ such guards to protect their studios, employees, homes, and autos.
DUMB DAN

I heard this on a newsclip on radio this morning. I could not believe it was Dan Rather saying this trash. Of course, I haven't heard Dan Rather for about 15 years and his voice is a little different due to age. How far he has fallen. He wasn't all that balenced even then.

May G-d damn Dan Rather. Burn in hell, Dan Rather. I curse you, Dan Rather.
There. He may have insulated himself from email, and news from the outside world. But karma will get him. Tune into that frequency, Dan.

You reportedly said, What drives American civilians to risk death in Iraq? In this economy, it may be, for some, the only job they can find, while the screen displayed the heading Risking Death over a video of people standing in a job application line. This is what passes for a "news story" at CBS?
Since it's easy to prove that CBS news outright lies in story after story, and the lies are ALWAYS in support of the same political world view, (democrat socialism) the FCC should yank their license.
It's okay though, I already yanked their license in my house years ago.
