Quiet as it's kept, the diminishing Democratic majority in Congress for the past quarter of a century equals the rate at which pro-life Democrats have been abandoning the party. This was the message given to Terry McAuliffe, head of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), when he was visited on March 8 by members of Congress on the National Advisory Board of Democrats for Life of America. Among them were Reps. Bart Stupak of Michigan and James Oberstar of Minnesota.

Their position is consistent with the other elements of fascist thinking they've dredged up from time to time with any legislative program put forward. For example you can always count on the Democrats to be the ones asking for draconian sentences for any doctor to make a mistake on a government form if the federales are going to pay part of her fee.
The Democrats consistently take the position in every legislative question that corporations are going to cheat, lie and harm people. At the same time the Democrats always presume that no employee of a government agency is goin gto cheat, lie, steal and harm people!
That the Democrats like to kill babies should not be a surprise to anybody, and the faster the pro-lifers get out of that gang the better off the whole country will be.
They even gave column space to Hillary Clinton, until it became embarrassingly obvious that in attempting to seem fair, she really had nothing to say. After that, she polished her "listening" skills.
They can't offend the two biggest public employee unions, the NEA and AFSCME, IIRC.

I think it will be more a function of time and the grim reaper, especially on the ethnic Catholics that survived the Depression. My mom was born in 1917, goes to Mass every Sunday, always voted as far as I know except 2000, when she was still recovering from bilateral knee replacement, and always voted for the rats.
As a country, we must keep our pledge to the first guarantee of the Declaration of Independence. That is why we say the unborn child has a fundamental individual right to life which cannot be infringed. We support a human life amendment to the Constitution and we endorse legislation to make clear that the Fourteenth Amendments protections apply to unborn children. Our purpose is to have legislative and judicial protection of that right against those who perform abortions. We oppose using public revenues for abortion and will not fund organizations which advocate it. We support the appointment of judges who respect traditional family values and the sanctity of innocent human life.
Our goal is to ensure that women with problem pregnancies have the kind of support, material and otherwise, they need for themselves and for their babies, not to be punitive towards those for whose difficult situation we have only compassion. We oppose abortion, but our pro-life agenda does not include punitive action against women who have an abortion. We salute those who provide alternatives to abortion and offer adoption services, and we commend congressional Republicans for expanding assistance to adopting families and for removing racial barriers to adoption. The impact of those measures and of our Adoption and Safe Families Act of 1997 has been spectacular. Adoptions out of foster care have jumped forty percent and the incidence of child abuse and neglect has actually declined. We second Governor Bushs call to make permanent the adoption tax credit and expand it to $7,500.
An essential part of a culture that respects life is integration and inclusion of persons with disabilities. That is the goal of Governor Bushs New Freedom Initiative, a comprehensive agenda for the breakthrough research and practical assistance that can help individuals with disabilities live independently, hold jobs, and take part in the daily life of their communities. We applaud his proposal, and we salute congressional Republicans for the way they have protected access to health care for individuals with disabilities against the administrations attempts to ration it. We pledge continued vigilance in that regard, especially in Medicare and Medicaid.
How does that Chines proverb go, it's better to be quiet and let other people think you're a fool, than to open your mouth and confirm it?
"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt."
But I don't think it's Chinese. Ensign Chekov assures me it's Russian...
The Libertarian Party basically believes in limited government and the original intent of the Constitution. They advocate for liberty and against its restriction. They certainly don't want taxpayers picking up the tab for abortions or any other unnecessary function of government.
The only liberties for which the rats advocate are abortion, perverted lifestyles, multiculturalism and spending other peoples money.
If I lived in another state I could see myself registering and voting Libertarian, even though I can't approve of allowing abortions. There are many pubbies and others in the pro-life camp who approve of gun control. In this world, the Second Amendment is my loadstone. As it is while I still live in NY, I'm registered as a Conservative to try to anchor all the RINOs here.
