Is there a dead pool on this yet?
I think we need a financial analyst with radio network sector focus to look at what they need in audience to break even, given what was paid for the stations and what the purchased time costs. Then a refined estimate of when they collapse can be issued after each quarterly Arbitron ratings book.
I'm guessing mid-2005 they are kaput.

I just listened to a little of Bob Kerrey...he wasn't that bad. I'd rather listen to Roger Hedgecock sittin' in fer Rush, though...I'll check the thread to see if any news made on the little fat idiot's--er, Al Franken--show.

Marketing doesn't care if you like the show.
Marketing doesn't care if you hate the show.
Marketing DOES care if you listen to the show. That's what sells commercials, and selling commercials is 100% of what radio is all about.
I chose to ignore them, the numbers they get for ratings will not be affected by my radio.

I'm just curious to see whether Al Franken can handle a "real job" in which he's gotta consistently be there M-F like the rest of us working folk.

I just listened to a half hour of the O'Franken show. That's all I could take for today. If you liked al franken on SNL, then you will like the show, if you didn't, you won't listen. Of course, that's just based on a small slice of this new radio network (small network).

I know Rush is off in Napa having a wonderful time but I can still hear him giggling up a storm and laughing like crazy at the fools, maybe Rodger could just play short clips of the new Rat show and then clips of Rush laughing and giggling at them so we would feel he was hear with us laughing.

It doesn't matter if its good or bad. The real reason the ultra libs are starting a network is to get around the McCain-Feingold restrictions. Remember only established publishers and broadcasters will be able to directly comment on the candidates for 60 days before the election (thank you SC). This is their outlet for the coming election. After that, they will quickly disband and wait for the next loophole to appear.

Give 'em time!! The first day, they all had to pass urine tests. As time passes, they'll be able to use some stuff before the show and it should get really funny. It might also be a good idea to station some narcs around the broadcast location. Eventually, they'll have some great targets. You know how arrogant these flaming lefties are.

SHAME ON BOB KERREY for appearing on this program.
To: caretarded
Methinks the strategy isn't so much to inform and persuade with this radio network, but rather as a vehicle to launder rumors, innuendo, accusations, and lies. It gives the media another avenue beyond 'sources say', 'anonymous administration officials', 'experts suggest', and 'some believe', adding a layer of implied legitimacy (where none actually exists.) Also another forum to test, polish, and put forth soundbites, slogans, and ridicule schtick, with the most successful then to be picked up by the mainstream media, presented as 'a growing movement in the culture' speaking. 'Listening to America' baloney.

Surprise surprise. I won't allow Macromedia products on my box-of-rocks so www.wlib's page is blank!
