Whoever said that liberal radio couldn't be entertaining certainly hasn't listened to the first hour of this "monumental event". This show is so bad. Just to amuse yourself with what the liberals want to air in a head-to-head showdown against Rush Limbaugh, give it a listen. It will make your day. Needless to say, no worries of success here.

Sam Donaldson's radio show is bad enough. Have you ever heard him telling jokes on the air?
LIBERAL radio is on the air in many markets. Look for your local NPR or Pacifica affiliate. After all, your tax dollars subsidize BOTH of those broadcasters.

Now Michael Moore is on - says that Harper-Collins asked him to redact some of his charges on W and Moore refused. Bitching about how the Bin Laden family was allowed to leave. I guess Moore doesn't know that Richard Clarke was the person who approved the Bin Laden family flight!

Al Franken was barely comprehensible doing a promo on MSNBC this morning with his female sidekick. I can only imagine how much worse the radio program must have been.
BTW, Franken looks very miserable and unhappy. Too bad he doesn't realize he'd feel oodles better if he renounced the hate he nurtures.

Unless you're an arbitron member, or part of some other ratings service, your listening to them will not affect the ratings one way or the other.

You are absolutely right. This is just a part of the cynical Democrat plan to circumvent the McCain's campaign finance reform law. This liberal talk show along with move-on and DU are just channels of liberal mega dollars to defeat the President. What McCain could not do by the primary in 2000 he will do by this legislation in 2004 i.e. attempt to defeat President Bush. May he rot in a luxurious Republican Victory hell in November.

I listened to about 5 mins and could not stand any more.
Although it did sound amazingly like the Daschel radio spoof Rush runs from time to time.
Read it on a different thread, the gal that's helping Al laughs just like Hillary. It's true! LOL

I'm listening to it now. I'm on a T3 and they are breaking up a lot. I think all the dropouts are a ploy to get their site hit numbers up.
Every time you re-connect they count a site hit. Dirty rotten cheating Rats!!!

I don't think this is an economic venture. Anyone who looked at the numbers knows that Alan Combs has bombed before. Why would they try him again? Liberal talk radio has failed many times.
I think when this attempt gnerates no audience or influence.... in a year or so ... the investors will pull the plug.
The Democrat rank and file are not going to listen to talk radio. The typical Democratic voter pays no attention to news and commentary other than blood and guts coverage. If it don't bleed they are not going to watch or hear it.
Working class Democrats put their fate in the hands of the Democratic leaders. The ordindary democart doesn't try to control his own political future, he depends on liberal leaders to do that for them.
It is like puting on a show on how to do surgery. Most of us would not watch it. If we need surgery we let a doctor make the decision and do the operation.
Rank and file Democrats turn their political future over to the Democratic political "doctors" the way we turn health care over to medical doctors.
Rank and File Democrats will not watch or listen to political broadcasting. When this garbage generates no ratings, and no buzz the investors will quitely pull the plug.
Unless some sugar Daddies pick up the tab, it is not going to last long.

"I guess Moore doesn't know that Richard Clarke was the person who approved the Bin Laden family flight!"
I forgot that - and the guy that just started his show, Ed Schultz, just called Richard Clarke his new hero. This guy is a complete Rush ripoff - even the laugh, even his pauses.
This guy is more polished than Franken, obviously, has some bits but....a total Rush ripoff.
"We have alot on the table today." He even talks to his radio engineer, like Rush, without the audience (as small as they are) being able to hear the engineer(Mr. Snurgley.) You've got to hear this guy - I can't get over how many statements, mannerisms, are pure Rush.
"There are more of us than them."
AT and T wireless the first sponsor. Now Xerox. Now Corti-slim. Now Underground Harddrive Report. Sports News.
By the way, didn't this guy shoot his dog or somebodys dog with little provocation? I believe so.

Just found out from a different thread that the ad rates for Franken, et. al. are $1500 a minture as opposed to Rush's which are $16,000 a minute +.
The last thing I read about advertisers for Franken, et. al. was that so far only Foundations & Non-Profits had bought ad time. So far no commercial spots have been sold and they are on a "Fantastic" 5 countem 5 stations!!!!!!!!!
To: Cicero
The question is, why is the U.S. army, AKA federal government, supporting a political network like this?
I agree. We need a list of advertisers.
Come on! A list of advertisers? Give them a shot. If they succeed, they will have an audience. If they fail, it will because they could not get an audience. The liberal side is sound bite driven and will have a tough time when (if) they open it up to callers. If they don't, people will tire of the monologue. But, this is America. Leave their sponsors alone unless prurient or irresponsible broadcasting ensues. This could well do more damage to them than good. But if they can make a case that they were not given a chance because sponsors feared retribution, I will not be proud and our cause will not be advanced.

Dr. Kevorkian was invited as a guest, but he arrived too late.Do you suggest this show needs any help from Dr. Death by assisted suicide? I predict it will die a very quick death on its own. Give it until next week or May at the longest.
