Coming in late to this post, but I noticed that Robin Williams is on both the "enemies" and "friends" lists.

Interesting list. I didn't recognize a large portion of the names, but that just gives me something to research over the coming weekend.
What are the opinions of some of the professional athletes (basketball, baseball, football, hockey, etc.)? I know that some don't have college educations, and others are dumber than bricks, but this can be said about the Hollywood crowd as well.
To: Stonewall Jackson
for the most part, athletes seem to keep their opinions to themselves...
of course, the Dallas Cowboy and Washington Redskin cheerleaders are big USO supporters...

It is amazing...here at FR, you'd think we are all on the same side. However, some Freepers seem to be defending celebs in this thread, eh? At the least, they are very antagonistic towards the thought of not sending our $$ to these celebs. Weird.
To: ladyinred
not at all...the link shows the entire list. To enter the forum, to see details for each celeb requires registration, simply to prevent left wingers from flooding our forum.
stop on by, grab a cup of coffee and stay awhile :)

I don't have any trouble with celebrities who happen to be democrats or who might have strong opinions that disagree with mine. The post, however, was about Robin Williams. He's off the edge.

being fixed...we have limited resources. Seems the folks at Hollywood Hero, where we borrowed the initial list, were duped by the "Robin Williams/George Carlin" I am a bad American email hoax...neither said it.
Williams, while going on USO, did return to the Bush bashing...thus, he's back on the boycott list.
We're only human. Thx for bringing it to our attention.

agree...

I do doubt your claims. What, FR is requiring a DD-214 and a resume now?

It's momma! Momma, mama, mother, mom, mommy, crack ho', whatever you want to call her. Get the kindergarten out of FR please.

Coming in late to this post, but I noticed that Robin Williams is on both the "enemies" and "friends" lists. Some people are patriotic and actively support the troops. Some such as Williams have a long history of this, at least back to the first Gulf War with Williams. So they're good guys. But then they criticize Bush so the Bush lovers jump all over them.

Kevin Costner -- he was also once a devoted husband and father before he found it wasn't cool.

Good guitarist. Also an idiot. I never said he was smart. I don't even agree with his naive position.
To: Salamander
You may be thinking of Drew Carrey. Libertarian.

The list said Jim Carrey.
That's a shame, if it's true....:(

But then they criticize Bush so the Bush lovers jump all over them. And that's why these types of huge boycott lists are pointless. It takes a lot of time and effort to keep track of who is "in" and who is "out" at any time. Some of us would rather spend our time and energy ~doing~ things to support the troops than trying to punish those that don't support them. And for that, we are called names.
