Do You Yahoo?  Al-Qaeda Does

It's time to launch an all out publicity blitz against Yahoo – one of the leading internet purveyors of terror – and embarrass the heck out of them.

There is no better name for such a campaign than the one thought of by terror researcher Johnathan Galt. In a recent e-mail he suggested the phrase, "Do You Yahoo? Al-Qaeda Does!"

For example. Global Islamic Media http://groups.yahoo.com/group/globalislamicmedia, with almost 6,000 members at last count, is one of Yahoo many groups devoted to propagating Muslim murder, mayhem and madness.

As Galt commented in a recent e-mail, Global Islamic Media "is regarded by the world's terrorism experts and the news media as the ‘official voice of al-Qaeda.' The next attacks are discussed daily on Yahoo (several months in advance). Global Islamic Media published in December 8 2003 a more explicit threat, which hinted at the possibility of an attack against Spain outside of Iraq. After the attacks occur, they are celebrated at this group."

It is becoming quite evident that the Yahoo abuse department so called does not enforce its acceptable use policy (http://docs.yahoo.com/info/terms). With that in mind, it's time we let Yahoo officials know we are sick and tired of their company's laissez-faire attitude toward terrorism and we're not going to take it any more. You can contact Yahoo–and I urge you to do so quickly – by going to http://add.yahoo.com/fast/help/us/groups/cgi_abuse.

In addition, write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper, call in radio talk shows, contact your U.S. congressional representative or senator and let them know what's going on with Yahoo. Ask them to investigate.

Another anti-American terror purveyor is the Almuhajiroun Yahoo group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/almuhajiroun_uk/. Posts are more than a little incendiary in their vitriol.

Almuhajiroun is a part of radical Islamic cleric Omar Bakri Muhammad's London-based organization.

One recent post was headlined "Terrorism the Fashion of the 21st Century" http://groups.yahoo.com/group/almuhajiroun_uk/message/108. Commenting on a verse in the Koran the post writer said "In this verse, Allaah ... clearly informs us that he will terrorize and strike terror into the hearts of the disbelievers i.e. the non-Muslims ... Therefore, it is inevitable for the non-Muslims to live in fear and tremor, as they associate with Allaah false gods that cannot benefit them or prevent harm from reaching them. They worship their desires, the law of the land, idols, priests, rabbis etc. And due to this great crime, Allaah ... vows to terrorize them."

Justifying recent acts of Islamic terrorism the writer commented, "Allaah orders the believers to terrorize ... the enemies of Allaah and our enemies, by preparing as much artillery, power and weapons as possible ... Allaah is directly ordering us to use terrorism against the aggressors and enemies of Allaah, all praises are for him."

The writer explained that there are two types of terrorism. "One that is praised by almighty Allaah ... one that is dispraised and worthy of severe punishment in this life and the hereafter. Violence is also of two, one that is pro-life and one that is against life. Violence against aggressors, oppressors and tyrants is pro-life, whereas violence initiated (such as that by the US and UK in Afghanistan and in Iraq) against young women, children and the elderly is against life."

Lambasting the United States, the United Kingdom and their allies the writer said that the activities of those countries are "indeed aggression, crime, corruption and tyranny – worthy of severe punishment and disgrace by almighty Allaah, due to it being directed at people who have sanctity for their lives, wealth and property (i.e. Muslims). Whereas the terrorism used by the Mujaahideen is the praised, exalted and blessed form of terrorism due to it being against people who have no sanctity for their lives, who support aggressors and tyrants and spread corruption and evil on the earth. Furthermore, it is in response to the command of Allaah, who orders the believers to terrorize His ... enemies."

The writer commented that Muslims should not be afraid of being called "terrorists, fundamentalists or extremists "because it is true; we are terrorists as Allah commands us to use terrorism ... it is just part of the disbeliever's propaganda against Islam and Muslims, which was also used against the messenger Muhammad (saw) and his companions; who were labeled as terrorists, extremists, magicians, liars and sorcerers"

Another post makes the Islamic hatred against both Israel and the Jews very clear http://groups.yahoo.com/group/almuhajiroun_uk/message/109.

Beginning with the words "The existence of the State of Israel has long been a thorn in the side of the Muslim Ummah," the post concludes,

"We hereby reject the intervention of the UN or any other party in order to establish peace in Palestine, we reject the proposals made by either the Israeli government or the illegitimate PLO and declare that the verdict from Islam is to continue fighting the occupiers until every inch of Muslim land is returned and the honor of the Muslims is restored. The Oslo Accord, the Wye river memorandum and any visits by Colin Powell or any other cronies of George Bush have no significance whatsoever, because there can be no negotiations with those occupying Muslim land.

"Oh Muslims! It is time for us to realize that the only way for salvation is to remove these apostate rulers from our lands who act as a hindrance to our progress, to replace the existing system of governance with (Islamic) law and order ... so that subservience is to Allah ... exclusively. The very notion of accepting a Jewish entity on Muslim land is a violation of Islam and a recognition of blasphemy."

This group's stated claim http://groups.yahoo.com/group/almuhajiroun_uk is to "to embrace Islam as a spiritual and political belief, culminating in the objective of establishing the Khilafah i.e. the Islamic State, implementing Islam as the law and order."

But who is Muhammad? Well, in addition to being a prominent radical Muslim with suspected ties to al Qaida he was born in Aleppo, Syria, in 1958 and grew up in a wealthy Muslim family, becoming a serious student of Islam and the Koran. He received his B.A. in Shari'ah and the foundations of Islamic law from Shari'ah University in Damascus, obtaining a master's degree in Islamic jurisprudence from the University of Al-Imam Al-U'zaie in Beirut.

According to the Middle East Media Research Institute http://memri.org/bin/articles.cgi?Page=archives&Area=ia&ID=IA7301, Muhammad portrays himself as being the spokesman for bin Laden's International Islamic Front for Jihad against Jews and Crusaders and according to MEMRI has admitted that the organization raises funds for the Hamas, the Islamic Jihad, and is "in touch" with the Hizbullah.

According to MEMRI, Muhammad has lived in London since 1985 and preaches at a number of London mosques. He also routinely presents himself as a spokesman for the International Islamic Front, which he describes as being the political wing of bin Laden's Islamic Front for Jihad against Jews and Crusaders.

Not surprisingly, Muhammad has no problem with airplane hijackings, according to MEMRI at one time reportedly telling an Egyptian newsweekly:

"The Islamic movement has the right to sacrifice whoever it sees fit. The rule is that (Muslim) children, women, and the weak should not be a goal except in one situation: if it is difficult to win without sacrificing them. So, if hijackers find (Muslim) women, and children and elderly people on a (hijacked) plane, they should set them free except if the goal of the hijackers is to free women, children, and elderly people held prisoners in countries. In this case, they can be kept, because the blood of Muslims is equal (to others blood), but they can sacrifice foreigners on the plane... and if you study Sharia you will know that. The fedya (ransom) of a Muslim is 12,000 dirhams, while that of a Dhimmi (i.e. a Christian or a Jew under Muslim rule) is 4,000 dirhams."

So here's the question. What you have just read describes the activities of just two Yahoo terror groups. There are many more. Why won't Yahoo at least enforce its own terms of service? Could it be that there is more of a terror connection than is immediately apparent? It's time we found out and you can play a very important part in helping find the answer and quite possibly helping prevent the loss of many innocent lives.

Until then, just keep in mind when you "Yahoo," that you're keeping company with al Qaeda!

I suspect we have agents monitoring the chat there, and gleaning valuable info from it. At least I would hope so.

Does it not occur to the short-sighted person who wrote this article that it is in the best interests of our intelligence services for these Yahoo groups to keep functioning? They are an excellent way for us to keep track of what the terrorists are planning and who may be participating in the planning process. It's a great convenience. Maybe Yahoo isn't enforcing its terms-of-service because our intelligence and law enforcement agencies have asked it not to. Why should they ruin a good thing?

One of the easiest ways for terrorists to communicate is to compose a letter on a web based email service, like Yahoo. They don't have to send it, since that would subject it to interception. Instead, they just save it to the "drafts" folder, and then someone else with access to the account 5000 miles away can open the draft message and read it. Then it can be deleted without ever having been sent.

I think it's pretty tough to monitor private chats, too, so long as the bad guys know who the other people are they can exclude all others, and what is said is lost in the ether. But I assume we are working on ways to pick up chat room conversations.

He wants access to us and our technology. Leopards do not change their spots. This transnational islamic Jihad will feed off our innocence. thanks to YaHoo et al.

During the recent DNS problems on FR, I joined the FR2 Yahoo group, using a separate email address, but specifying that the email addrees was not to be revealed to anyone.

I immediately starting getting SPAM on that email address. I hadn't been getting ANY SPAM there before that.

I hate Yahoo!

I suspect we have agents monitoring the chat there, and gleaning valuable info from it. At least I would hope so.

Which is why, if anything, we want to encourage terrorists to post on Yahoo Groups.

Organizations >> Cults >> Terrorist >> AlQaeda >> Plots >> NAmerica

Organizations >> Cults >> Terrorist >> AlQaeda >> Plots >> NAmerica

That made me smile, for some reason. (Irony perhaps? Surely it's not that simple... or maybe it is.) As I said on another thread yesterday, I wonder what Osama's screen name would be?

And the possibilities are endless. Here's one for the boys and girls in Canberra to monitor:

Organizations >> Cults >> Terrorist >> Jemaah Islamiah >> Plots >> Australia/NZ
